A conversation with Dame Elizabeth Anionwu PhD, Order of Merit, BBC's Women of the year in 2020 and Recipient of the Pride of Britain Life Time Achievement award talks about her new book and her rise from living in a children's home to becoming one of the most important people in the UK and carrying the Sovereign's orb at King Charles' coronation in May 2023. Dame Anionwu was the first nurse specializing in Sickle Cell Disease in England resulting in universal screening of all babies at birth for this potentially deadly genetic condition.
