Dear brother, I see you have a wrong view. So I will help you to understand the truth with the beautiful religion of Buddhism. *Buddhism doesn't teach to worship idols, gods or any form of divinity. • According to Buddhism, the saviour of you is yourself. ( Only you can save yourself from this samsara or the cycle of birth and death ) • There are 4 noble truths in Buddhism. 1. The truth of suffering. There are 8 kinds of suffering in Buddhism. Namely, 1. Birth 2. Getting old 3. Getting sick 4. Death 5. Losing the loved ones 6. Being together with people we don't like 7. Not getting what we want 8. Getting what we do not want Just think every single suffering you faced comes under these categories. So realize when you feel any kind of sadness, it is the truth of the universe. 2. The truth of the cause of suffering The cause of the suffering is desire (Thanha) . There are three types of desires. Namely, 1. Kama thanha The desire for the material goods which makes the 6 senses ( eye, ear, nose, tongue, body, mind ) happy 2. Bhawa Thanha The desire to be born in higher realms after death or the desire for the after life. 3. Vibawa Thanha The desire to this life and not believing in after or before lives. Those are the types of desire which is the root of suffering. 3. The truth of end of suffering The method of ending the suffering is the eightfold path. Namely, 1. Right view Right view is knowing the eightfold path is the way to end the suffering and attain great nirvana ( eternal peace ) 2. Right resolve The right resolve means the plan of actions to end the suffering. 3. Right speech Right speech includes not saying lies, things that would harm someones relations, rude or curse words, idle chatter 4. Right action Right action includes obeying to the 5 basic principals / 8 principals / 10 principals ( you can choose what you obey to ) 5. Right livelihood Right livelihood means not engaging in any occupation which could bring harm to any being . 6. Right effort Right effort simply means prevention of arising wrong desires/ hatred / wrong views which are not yet arisen and destruction of such thoughts which are already arised. 7. Right mindfullness Right mindfulness is to be diligently aware, mindful, and attentive with regard to (1) the activities of the body (kaya), (2) sensations or feelings (vedana), (3) the activities of the mind (citta) and (4) ideas, thoughts, conceptions, and things (dhamma) 8. Right concentration Righ concentration comes from samadhi ( meditating ) which implies collectedness, calm, and unification. So, when we practice right concentration, we're practicing bringing the mind in harmony with the other aspects of the noble eightfold path. This alignment is important, as all factors of the path support and rely on one another. You can practice this by using the "dasa anussathi bhawana" (the 10 main meditating ways) 4. Truth of the path which leads to the end of suffering The fourth noble truth is about putting everything I mentioned above into action and attaining great nirvana.* Namo Buddhaya 🙏🙏. Hope you will attain great nirvana. May all beings be healthy, happy and healed. You can read the "Thripitaka" to know more about Buddhism.
