This is a great eye opener. It must take you a long time to do all of your illustrations and editing.

KZitem recommended this video to me and it was the first and only of your videos i've watched (yet...). I really enjoy it and subscribed without hesitation. What you where talking about really resignated with me and gave me major flashbacks of the tiny workshop in my grandpa's cellar. This place always felt like a space where everything was allowed and where i was given ultimate creative freedom and support from my grandpa. As im getting older i understand more and more how valuable these things are and videos like this adresse exactly the type of "philosophy" i was exposed to, without even knowing or understanding back then. I'm sure my Opa didn't either but coincidently lived his whole life by it. It's very nice to find information about these topics so thanks for your video!

Your Opa sounds like a kind, generous, and grounded person. I am sure he knows how appreciative you are of him, where ever he is. That workshop and you must have given him great joy, watching you being free and creative. I am glad you like my video and thank you for subscribing and sharing such a beautiful inspiring story.

The two nails and the zip tie have my mind racing. I was thinking of what was holding the zip tie.....then an old story came to mind. There was a trim carpenter who was hanging many more doors than his peers. It turns out he would put nails into the jambs, lay that jamb against his framing and then bend another nail over the extended nail. In doing so he was pinching the door jamb in place. (Years ago...not prehung doors). It would be better if I made a video about this, however I have given you enough to think about....you must take my clues and finish the picture in your mind. And...if we are lucky, the exercise will trigger more good ideas for you.....just as this video found more motivation for me. tHanks for the video!

When I figured out how to hold that adaptor on the wall , my heart was also racing. And the amazing Carpenter story only makes me wonder how many more stories deserve to be told. Thank you for sharing.

Very inspirational video. I was considering trying to make a French Cleat wall to organize my mess. This video expands my options. One thing definitely removed from options is pegboards.

I use nails like icing on a cake. It makes the main structure even more versatile. I don't have a single pegboard in my life. I hate its look and design, and the way it works just feels uncreative and institutional.

Right now, I am intoxicated and drowning in all your compliments. Please don't stop! Also the similarity you observed between me and youtube.com/@vanneistat was the best gift I received from being a KZitem creator as of today. His videos and storytelling inspire me and remind me to be genuine. And I dream the algorithm and AI can see as you do and make the same connection and recommend 6 Acres to all Van's followers.

Incredible video. I'm inspired to actually clean up my workspace now. I wonder what the rough equivalent to organizing our digital lives in this method is? Everything on the desktop? Haha

Haha…that is funny. Maybe we just can not get away from ourself even in the digital world. Imagine putting on the latest Apple Vision Pro and seeing a big mess. Thank you for the compliment.
