Awesome workflow! The best part is seeing how it's being built.

Thanks for watching - I might produce some videos on faceting curved architecture in the future since it appears its not a commonly taught practice

That's great how does soap skin relate to revit? and how did you model the structure to follow the roof membrane?

Great questions. The soap skin basically served as a guide. I used the Massing & Site > In-Place Mass tool to create node-based lofts that mimicked the soap skin form. Then placed my structure in plan view, and modified the heights of members in section and elevation leaving a predetermined offset for the light gauge framing, sheathing, membrane, and roofing system above. I will create a more detailed video once the project is completed 👍🏼

@@StephenCoorlas Yeah that would be cool, making that sort of structure looks akin to making the guggenheim to me. But then again I don't have training in that sort of complex 3d geometry.

@@andrewsullivan1523 You can do it. It just takes time and patience. It might be a bit before I get to making that video, so feel free to reach out to me directly to discuss more. You can find my email address at the about page on my YT channel.

The first part of the video, the animation, would you please share the software or application you used to create? I have been trying to do it but can't figure out how.

Yes, have had others interested in this technique also, so I will make a video explaining how to accomplish this. Thanks for your interest!
