i use a simple sass function: @function rem($px) { @return #{$px / 16}rem; } then I can say width: rem(160); // width: 10rem;

Nice video! Just a small advice, it isn't always better to use rem in margins and paddings for accessibility purposes because it reduces the available space for text or other elements to be displayed. I found out by experience that is usually better to only use rems for font-sizes in heavy text websites like blogs.

Amazing content. I would love to see how front devs convert and work with the grid layout from Figma, and apply it in their web design work.

I still don't get this stuff sometimes. I see and have worked with many designs for example where a font-size might go up 20% but the padding or margin will increase by 50% on a larger device. So then all these units relative to font-size get broken.. it almost never works out as conveniently as planned. anyone have a good video that walks through the entire figma handoff -> dev process?

Hello, I have learned a lot from your videos, thank you very much! I would like to ask you if you know of any way to download an html file of your prototype like the one you download from Invision, but from figma? Tnks!!

Why 62.5% and not just 10px?
@MrSchizothemia
2 жыл бұрын
10px will override the user's chosen browser default font size. It's an accessibility issue. 62.5% * 1.6em will always give the user's chosen size, even if it isn't 16px.

Wtf is this “wanna be a better designer” “how much you really wanted?” BS? Feels like a 90s infomercial. You don’t need to push brother, we already here, we are already listening, we already trust you. Tell me about the course you have build for me, all in one place, all with a logic order.. all with no ads.. all to help me reach the sky.. that’s all we need

Good video but you could have done this in 5 minutes, I feel like you are stalling and deliberately making video longer and it feels boring for me, sorry.
