Hey All! This is the FINAL episode for Season 2. THANK YOU to everyone who has come along with us on our mushrooming adventures--and an extra thank you to those who have shared our video with others! We've got some great ideas and content for Season 3. Maybe we can force Zach in front of the camera more? Again, thank you all for your support, likes and comments--it helps this brother sister team keep at it.

I respect that you are reviewing something you already know and love. I am so sick of "out of the box" reviews by people who just basically review stuff without ever using it. There is another channel "Survival Russia" Lars actually reviews a lot of stuff pro bono just because he likes the products and he uses them in his daily life. Did someone say the post-modern struggle is finding "authenticity"??
@YellowElanor
4 жыл бұрын
Thank you! I'll have to check out Lars' channel to see what kinds of things he likes, I've done a few reviews on my Instagram just for fun-things I use and want to share. Haha, and yeah, the struggle is real...authenticity! I'm a terrible actor (just ask my brother), so it better be a product I enjoy using or else it'll come off as super cheesy ;)

Mushroom of the Redwood Coast is fantastic. Great photos and descriptions. We aren't exactly on the redwood coast, but close enough--and the book has nice notes on 'if you live further north...' which helps bring it in for our area. Mushroom of the PNW is also good, less species in that guide and it's a little older so some of the scientific names are inaccurate (that'll happen even if a book is a year old though). The Complete Mushroom Hunter is the best book for edible mushrooms--not a field guide though, just helps you hone in on edible species on a more in depth level.

Yellow Elanor , I just moved to the Portland area a few months ago. A couple of months ago, another mushroom hunter showed me some of the mushrooms he found that day, and chanterelles were some of them ( I wasn’t hunting that day). A fewer weeks ago, just off of the PCH, I found King Boletes and lobster mushrooms (a kind that hunter showed me before). I’ve also been looking for Honey Mushrooms since finding them a couple of years ago back in Indiana, my favorite so far. But I wouldn’t want to wish that on what deciduous trees that are around.
