Congrats! Having Mike Ploog's own books is awesome! Also, nice to get those corrected slabs!

Thanks! Now I just need to figure out how to display them without making my house look like a comic book store!

Mike Ploog Man-Thing #1 is just amazing! Kull #11 and Frankenstein #1 weren't too bad either although the Frankenstein #18 by B. Wrightson is probably my all-time favorite in the Franky series.

I completely agree! Mike Ploog's artwork on Man-Thing #1, Kull #11 and Frankenstein #1 are amazing. I have Frankenstein #1, but on the hunt for the other two.

Awesome books. You're right about the cultural impact of those Teen Titans characters. I was smart (lucky) enough to be in from day 1 as a fan of the previous Teen Titans series, I was all over the New Titans and was collecting DC Comics Presents at the time.

I don't own many signed books but I may try and get some signed at Terrificon. Wow Tomb of Dracula #70 in 9.8 very nice! I too believe in the longevity of DC Comics Presents #26. Need to get me a copy of it. Wow books from Mike Ploog's personal collection. The placement of Ploog on the trash can is perfect.

Thanks for the comment. It's great to hear you're considering getting some signed books at Terrificon! I love meeting creators and getting their signatures as it adds such a personal touch to a collection. I'm trying to work out if I do Terrificon or NYCC - having the crew at Terrificon might swing the decision.

High-grade pedigree books are really one of the high points of the hobby but I think a comic signed by the artist and from his own collection is, for me, even more desirable. And you've got two of them David! Coincidentally, I found on the same day I watched this video a Mike Ploog art portfolio called "Nightcap" from 1976, s/n and with six beautiful plates. Ploog's fine lines and shading are simply masterful and really stand out in the b/w format. So it looks like we're both winners with Ploog items in our respective collections.

Whoa my friend! All great books but those books from Ploog's personal collection?! I am in awe! I follow him on social media and saw they were up for sale but they weren't in the cards for me. love how Ploog draws monster, and you have some amazing pieces to add to your collection. Fantastic grades too! Congrats and thanks for sharing my friend!
