I don't know how the algorithm led me here but I'm glad it did. Thank you for making art accessible to those of us who may not know how to experience it without context. I always wonder why an artist decided to make that piece rather than the infinite number of other things they could have made, but I've noticed that question seems to annoys art people and they usually suggest I just experience the artwork instead. Your video not only offered a compelling take on why the artists chose to make those specific pieces, but also shifted the way I think about the significance of art. Specifically, your suggestion that art is best poised to answer the question "what does it feel like?" helped me understand what those art people mean by "experiencing" the artwork, and I think will help be able to do that in the future. PS. also really appreciated your argument that these works with female subjects offer universal insights.

dear @Michelle-ry7gc , thank you for such a generous, kind comment! I am SO happy you found it helpful. "Experience the artwork" is quite an instruction -- frankly, I am not sure what art people mean by that either, ha!
