An extremely thoughtful and complicated man. He served his nation at a most critical time in our national history when it was hard to do so with questions in his heart and mind. Real hope for mankind can happen but "Not without work" indeed.

shifting the focus again. The people involved naturally faced a moral dilema but thats only because they had conscience. What if you have a being fondling with that red button convinced itself and convincing others that destruction is that one necessary evil and says look how good is that thing.

Oppenheimer sounds rehearsed and Truman had no conscience at all. No war is good but the fighting is done by grown up people who made the decision to fight. When dropping such bombs on the civil population, it hits others but those responsible or in agreement of the war.
America wouldn’t exist today without this man and his grand achievement.

It's ironic that Cillian Murphy won an Oscar for playing Oppemheimer because the man himself has a bit of an Irish lilt to his accent.

Whatsoever the history is rewriten thru the years, the jewish scientists and engineers had significantly contributed to the development of nuclear weapons, as well as the nuclear energy for both the U.S and the Soviet Union. Behind Oppenheimer was the Rosenthals. Near the WWII end, Red armies entered the Poland to save few dozen jewish scientists and engineers in labor camps.

The new movie is great and all; but Oppenheimer is the one who gave the plans to the Russians. We built the program, and did all of the pioneering and work; and they gleaned the results and copied the program.
