Not bad considering this video was taken 8 years ago. I m sure there have been some major changes after all these years. By just watching the infrastructure, buildings, etc., it feels like a 4th-tier inland small city in China 20 years ago.

I'd say that with all the money North Korea is pouring into its military forces that there wouldn't be much left over for infrastructure. Most of the buildings there were built in the 70s/80s and haven't been renovated.

This train was from Pyongyang to Dandong.Dandong is Chinese City by the border. After stopping at N.Korean City of Shiniju, the train crossed the Yalu River or Amnok River and Stopped at Dandong. Sometimes the train goes directly to Beijing but the day I rode it terminated at Dangdong so we Changed the trsin at Dangdong and to Beinhg.

I was interested in that peninsula since middle school because it’s our neighbor country (I can hear their radio at night)and visited South for about 30 times. So I felt it’s unfair not to visit North. Yes it’s showcase and you don’t have a free to go around by myself(only accompanied by at least two guides or “guard”,but it’s fun to guess what they want to show and what they don’t want to show.
