Bobby Tyler is awesome. Tyler gunworks does beautiful work! The Ruger Blackhawk is a great revolver. I have 2 - a 45 Colt/ 45 ACP Bisley and a 454 Casull Super Blackhawk Bisley. They are a blast. One of these days I'll get a Tyler Ruger... It'll be my BBQ gun, no doubt about it! Love this "From the Vault" series!

I have been watching these Brownells videos with Bobby Tyler over and over and I just have to have me one of Mr. Tyler's Ruger Flattops. Thanks for bringing us these wonderful videos.

I just found these videos. I hope you are still making them. I have had a couple of guns customized. If you like Guns or Fine Craftmanship you will see why the cost is justified. The joy that a Custom firearm brings is indescribable. I've found it very Fulfilling to do some work myself. Brownells is a Great source of parts and tech support. The tech Guys have helped me make many a parts decisions. At least for me. If I want custom finish I'll send it out to one of these Great Builders. For me putting a gun in the oven is for gunsmiths. I put corn bread or pizza in my oven. You may be different. One Man's opinion. Best Wishes! M.H.

I always enjoyed Skeltons' and Taffins' writings. I drool over Ham Bowen's book. I have a 3 screw Blackhawk converted to .44 spl. My father built grips of nice walnut for his own guns. I found a pair he had sold decades ago at a gun show. They fit nice to my gun. Ed Eldridge (RIP) bored the cylinder to .44 spl. My deceased buddy Fred Ragle fit a beautifully blued 10 " polished .44 barrel to it. Another "gunsmith" shortened it as requested but screwed over the bluing . He was to mill a dovetail to put in a patridge front sight, period! but got confused and soldered on a ramp, which he put the patridge into and got someone to flatblack the barrel. UNCOOL ! I want the barrel and sight fixed. So, hello, Mr. Tyler !

I am in love with that 6 shooter, ever since ,I been a young boy I have loved single action 6 shooters.I have a old 3 screw superblackhawk ,it is my favorite handgun.I really enjoy hunting with it.I only took 1 whitetail this past deer season, and I did it with my old ruger ,he was a old buck ,his right side was broken off except for a long drop tine .I first knocked him down at 75 yards ,then I dropped him for good at 132 yards ,I field dressed him with a bone handled case xx trapper pocket knife.he only had 5 points on his left side rack plus 1 of them was broken off .I would have loved to met up with the buck he had been fighting .I love your custom six shooters ,and someday I hope to own one of them .I could watch your videos over and over.thank you for a peek at some very beautiful 6 shooters.

In my opinion…anything from Ruger is “custom” over anything Colt (yep you can hate me all the way to Hell…but it is what is…from 20 years in Cowboy Action shooting)…love me some Ruger Bisley Black Hawks…especially in .45 Colt 🥰🥰🥰

Spectacular revolver and I love the channel... but so much of the discussion is about history and information, yet you keep saying "back in the day" when referring to specific items like models, sights and gun writers. Back in the day isn't a time reference anyone can do any further reading or research. Back in the day makes it sound as though you don't know or couldn't be bothered to find out. I know the era, people and items referenced in this video, but newcomers to firearms are coming here to learn and be entertained.

Try to locate and acquire a vintage Texas Longhorn Arms Grover Improved # 5. I had one and really regret selling it. Many custom features built in. I had fit my own zebrawood grips to it.
