AVB was an arrogant cunt something he proved in every club he’s been at since he was sacked. Making Malouda, PL and CL winner that always gave his all. to train with u21s cause he didn’t want to leave is one thing that will always have me rank AVB as the worst manager in the entire time I’ve been a Chelsea supporter, which stretches back to the late 80s. I was so mad that year, if I met AVB in the street at the time, I’d probably still be in prison today.

People talk about Zidane in the 2006 world cup but the real stars of that France team were Ribery and Malouda. Zidane really stepped in the quarter and finals. The thing is that back in the day wingers played a bit deeper and their role was to cross the ball. Modern day wingers in 4-3-3 are basically forwards thats why their goal scoring records are much better. So to look at Malouda fairly or any winger lets say pre 2010 you would have to look at their goals + assist.

for me he was the biggest part of that win but the amazing thing is everyone on that team and even the short cameos of torres was wonderful bc everyone did their job and played to the absalute peak of their ability considering the old age and injuries. But everyone did their job in their moments. cech was solid from beginning to end. torres came on to win us a corner. drogba was clutch when it mattered. lamps and mikel made us a threat on the counter. it was wild

Love the podcast! And Malouda was a great guest! I appreciate that he stood up for Anelka. I don't think its fair to say that Anelka didn't care about missing the penalty against United. In his documentary, he said he feels that his whole Chelsea career was a failure for missing the penalty, and that he feels like he was a traitor because of it.

Great point. John Obi doesn’t seem to know much about Anelka pre Chelsea. He thinks Anelka is some ok player. I get that he respects Drogba and the journey man and career issues he had. But guys like Gary Neville, Jaap Stam, Ferdinand and Roy Keane respect Anelka a lot because they played against him in his early years. One of the most talented strikers in PL history.

Well-done Mikel for being part of the football game once again! kudos for continuing the positive impact in your own way to Chelsea F.C and the game of football in general. As a great Chelsea football Fan, I humbly use this medium to plead you equally use your podcast to convey strategies in returning Chelsea F.C to glory. Pundits and analyst should be invited to talk on how the club can be as formidable as was your play time in Chelsea. I don't want to believe you aren't equally feeling disappointed on how Chelsea has been playing below average for the past seasons. Being trophyless for a couple of seasons hasn't been much humiliating like having a team that is not known for any style or pattern. Their lack of tenacity and commitment is outrageous. I believe you can pull some strings in influencing a better Chelsea in your own way. Thanks
