Not many blueberries this year, and the robins have been relentless with those.

@@VirginiaFruitGrower on a normal year, we get so many blueberries that the robins get tired of them and move on. Not the case this year.

Get a serviceberry shrub. It was a big hit with my kids and their friends. I Highly recommend alnifolla, smoky, Thiessen.

Thanks for stopping by, Sam. I'll have to look into service berries. I was also thinking about honeyberries, too.

Really nice front yard and berries! What's the reason that you keep them potted?

Most everything in the front yard is planted in the ground except about 25 different varieties of young fig trees that I'm testing out in pots. Trying to see which varieties taste good and which ones will get ripe in this climate. I will either plant them somewhere or graft them onto a large in-ground fig I have on the property. A few of the trees that are petite fig varieties that will stay small in a container but still make a good amount of fruit. I also put a persimmon tree in a pot that I bought it mail order bare rooted a few months ago. Just wanted to start it out in a pot for the first season to make sure it grew well and is healthy before it goes to it's permanent location.
