I'm from Morecambe and it kills me to see what my children are missing out on......they would have loved it. If I ever won enough money I would happily pay for it to be rebuilt. It was the greatest asset that Morecambe ever had !

Loving this vid, brings back some some days. The park was shut to put money into blackpool pleasure beach. Some rides went to southport but that met the same sad end. End of the day greedy park managers!

Thanks for uploading this, my brother and I spent many happy hours in this place on our family holidays in Morecambe in '88 and '89. We loved Frontierland. Our parents allowed us to spend the evenings in there, with our wristbands, while they did grown up things. (our hotel was a 2min walk away). So many memories, it's devastatingly sad to see what happened to the place.

Great memories of how morecambe used to be. The council should have stepped in more to save frontierland, bubbles and not scrap the illuminations

@altontowers4life I heard when the Texas Tornado caught fire, they asked for it to be demolished and the contractors went a bit overboard and took a fair amount of everything else with it. There were a few frontage arcades including the camel bashing game (that was stupidly addictive!) and a temporary fun fair set up for less than a year in the middle, that later moved to the promenade near were bubbles used to be.

Barry, Mr Thompson would be turning in his grave to see the price structure of Pleasure beach. At one time pleasure beach ran three FANTASTIC shows every night. The Eclipse, Mystique and The Hot ice. Two of them are gone and long forgotten under Amanda.

Frontierland had nothing to do with Amanda Geoffrey owned it and visitor numbers where to blame.
