When ever i see price of fronx or all recently launched maruthi cars, I felt xuv300 petrol or diesel base is far better interms power, safety and maintenance…just canceled fronx and booked base variant of xuv300!! Who cares features when you enjoy drivability, we all just need essential features any-day and provided in base variant like tpms, all 4 disc brakes and steering modes, imp need in using car for 10 plus years is enjoying the drive and more power 😊

So much for those 39000 bookings. Maruti dealers should expect a flurry of cancellations post the price reveal. Is it just me or are cars in India are just atrociously overpriced? There seems to be no end to the greed. The way things are moving, in a few years there might not be any model available for less than a million Indian Rupees in India! Recently in oct 2022 toyota launched hyryder. Price of hyryder s hybrid upon launch is 15,11,000 Exshowroom Now they increase prices by 50,000 2 times. Current Exshowroom is 16,21,000.

People are buying so prices are increasing, imo i dont think the raw material price is increasing as fast as the prices of cars and that chip shortage is over rn it's more pf oversupply situation. But there are so many cars on road now almost all cars have waiting and more waiting on expensive ones. So high demand high price.

For example, I just bought the Seltos HTX IVT last year and here is the break up, just for the ex-showroom price: Price of the Vehicle - Rs 9,88,965 + GST (28%) - Rs 2,76,910 + Cess (17%) - Rs 1,68,124 + TCS (0.75%) - Rs 10,755 Total - Rs 14,44,755 Now, on this you add the remaining charges i.e. registration, insurance etc., and on that too you're paying a certain GST. In the end, when you're buying a car, almost 50% price is paid to the government. So, yes! Indian cars are overpriced drastically but I won't blame the manufacturers here but the government who has been taxing the automotive sector like absolute maniacs!

6.99 to 11.99 would have been the appropriate price. Maruti made it's own compitition with baleno, fronx and brezza. They failed to capture the market of the venue, Nexon, sonet, magnite , kiger. If price was reasonable, it would have been a top selling car due to its looks. They can't stretch a baleno and charge the brezza price!!!

Hi V3car team, your variants explained videos are fantastic and even the comparison videos are extremely informative and detailed. however I feel you should add NCAP rating as part of video as well. I know it is not available for all models but still it is worth putting because NCAP awareness is required and people should know about it. Maruti products are quite overpriced in general considering they have poor safety ratings

I had booked Fronx Zeta 6AT in February. Thought it would have an On-Road Kolkata Price of 12.50-12.70 lakhs. They launched the car a few days ago and revealed the zeta automatic on road price of 13.99 Lakhs. I was really disappointed and booked the Tata Nexon XZA+ Petrol in April.

Sir I have have been watching your videos since quite some time now. Congratulations and thanks for your hardwork in providing us with such important information and comparison for car models. However I feel that your analysis is a bit incorrect. When you compare variants..you always compare with the immediately lower variant. However it should be always with respect to the base variant. The entire calculation would change of you start doing that. In a way your analysis can sometimes be misleading. If you look at your Skoda Kushaq comparison..you will actually relate to what I am saying. Please do double check at your end too.. Having said that..I will continue watching and loving your videos..Cheers!

The verdict (VFM rank) is always wrt base variant. If, for a variant, it is important to mention its value w.r.t base, we do that even within that variant's explanation as well.

Top end turbo Alpha variant is costing almost 16 Lacs in Hyderabad. And it misses out on some basic features like TPMS, Sunroof which Hyundai and Kia are offering from base and mid variants. 16 Lacs for a Maruti hatchback is nonsense. I’m wonder how Maruti priced it so high. Atleast it should have given sunrooof and cruise control from zeta Variant of Turbo Automatic.
