The sad part is that he isn't the only kid who's poor in the village. I've also been reading around the comment section, some people saying the family doesn't directly receive the full donation. It goes through the government, they take their portion and it eventually goes down to the intended receiver, which really isn't much either.

For the majority of countries, this is how it is like.. its the sad part of charity have you also heard about how, due to so much donations, local business that are barely surviving go out of business. There is always sad parts of everything but its the sad part of charity that gets to me...

I have a long list of problems with communism, but the comment Nikki made is a lesson in thinking through your argument. The American public education system as an example of why communism doesn't work, when compared with communist China, is absurd. And really, kids not wanting to go to school =/= the negative effects of an uneducated/under-educated society. Especially today, when highly skilled labor is more important than ever. That'd be one hell of a drain on our economy.

Although Nikki said communism and socialism don't completely work because if you give people things like education they don't want to go to school, but the fact is most of us grew up under capitalism and still didn't want to go to school. I don't think that's quite how it works.
@foureyeswonder
6 жыл бұрын
LittleDrummerChic It’s a comparison. She’s saying that free education is similar to communism in the way that it is given/distributed, not earned. Most countries don’t just apply capitalism as their model to run their country. Some have free healthcare, some free education, which are socialistic in principle.
@blackparadox3169

is not that it doesn't work all the way, it just does not work in general, except a very few amount of isolated parts of it, and those are not ideal mind you

The method of education is what doesn't attract people to go to school, not the free stuff. More people with access to schooling is equal to more people dropping school. But if we talk about numbers, I'm sure few of us could tell real facts about communism = free stuff = higher than the proportional drops.

DishingOut Ls Communism is political ideology thats main objective is to attain stateless, oppression-free, classless and equalitarian society for every person in that state, which involves a gov't controlled economy, a one party state, and no private properties A welfare state can be applied in almost every type of political ideology and really just needs tax paying citizens. That's it. It also only serves the under privileged, not all people in the society.
