Join me in a post-apocalyptic world for a solo playthrough of Frostpunk: The Board Game created by Adam Kwapiński with art by Agnieszka Dabrowiecka and published by Glass Cannon Unplugged. In this video I'll show you how this game flows and operates to help you make an informed decision on it and/or get you rolling on your attempt to build and lead a city to survival in the midst of an ice age. Enjoy! ;D FYI: You can’t construct a building on the Generator tile space where the drawer opens. Part way into Part #2 I will remove it. Intro 0:00 Overview 1:05 Narrative 1:57 Main Features of Frostpunk: The Board Game 3:31 Win & Loss Conditions 4:47 Setup Video Correction 7:35 Gameplay 7:47 Conclusion 1:04:00 Patreon Rolling Solo Producers 1:04:49 "In Frostpunk: The Board Game, up to four players will take on the role of leaders of a small colony of survivors in a post-apocalyptic world that was hit by a severe ice age. Their duty is to effectively manage both its infrastructure and citizens. The core gameplay will be brutal, challenging, and complex, but easy to learn. The citizens won’t just be speechless pieces on the board. Society members will issue demands and react accordingly to the current mood, so every decision and action bears consequences. The players will decide the fate of their people. Will you treat them like another resource? Are you going to be an inspiring builder, a fearless explorer, or a bright scientist? Is your rule going to be a sting of tyranny or an era of law and equality? The game is based on a bestseller video game by 11bit studios, the creators of This War Of Mine. The original (digital) edition of Frostpunk is a highly successful strategy-survival-city-builder, a BAFTA-nominee that originally launched in 2018." *Media Inquiries: rollingsologamer@**gmail.com* *Want to support the channel? Great video as always, thank you. As a couple of comments mentioned you cannot build on the drawer space of the generator. I wanted to add for reference that this is covered on p. 26 of the rulebook. Hope that is helpful

Hey Mate, Just letting you know the Generator tile has 5 spaces. The place where the Generator drawer goes is not a space to build :)

nice session. Still looking fine for now, but that can quickly change in this game if you overlook something. One small rules error I found that I don't see mentioned yet. At 1:02:15 in the weather phase, you are gaining food for the hunter icons, but you reduce the hunger immediatly with it. This shouldn't be done at this time, but it should be added as food. It is only in the hunger phase at the end of the round that you need to use the food to reduce hunger. While it probably doesn't matter a lot, if you keep it as food, it is available for certain actions during the round that have a food cost.

Sure can! You’re correct about the timing of that. Going forward I made sure not to adjust it early. That was a one off. Good eye!

Amazing video! Love the presentation and thought process! Can't wait to see more! :D Just a quick note/hint: You can Fuel the Generator at almost any point in the game, so in Generator Phase, Action Phase - before every single Meeple action, in the Night Phase. :)

On that last turn, if you were planning on putting coal in anyway why not put the coal in sooner to heat the tents. The rules say you can put coal before each turn and in a solo game this is before you place each meeple so you can effectively put it in whenever. This would have saved you a lot of sick workers.

My two favourite games are This War of mine and Robinson Crusoe. (Dead of Winter for multiplayer). How would you rate this compared to those games? I really like the look of it but it does look quite complicated, even for my standards lol. Not sure if it would be different once I read the rulebook.

Just curious as to the size of the white player board. I’ve been super interested in this game for solo play. But my coffee game table is only 3.5x”4.5’ feet. And even though I can even play KDM on my coffee game table, with binders on the floor…it doesn’t seem that I’ll be able to fit this behemoth on my table. Size, please.
