@@redshirts4757 No, that's just a fan head-canon, even if the fan happens to be Chris Buck (director of both _Frozen_ and _Tarzan_ ). He did not make this canonical when he made _Frozen_ with Jennifer Lee, and he never even mentioned this idea to her until long after they had completed the movie. In fact, except for sequels and their original movies, of course, no Disney animated features share the same universe.

I've been looking at dozens of people reacting to this trailer already! :) And I feel like I gotta say this one thing: So many are wondering what's up with the Elsa-vs-the-ocean at the beginning, and for me it's just, like, training! I think we might actually meet Elsa and Anna's other siblings. After all her parents got lost in the sea. Bodies never found. So its possible that they had another children and those posses similar abbilities like Elsa hence the ''Autmn'' girl who made the blonde boy fly from the groud. I mean Elsa's aunt possessed almost identical abbilities like Elsa, so if one of the parents actually died and the other survived and had children it could explain different abbilities. But if thats the case than its most likely theire mother seeing as this curse/gift was passed down from her family side.
@rbrtck

Aunt? If you're referring to _Once Upon a Time_ , that was adapted from _Frozen_ by different people in a different studio who did their own story. The real, canonical story of _Frozen_ is from Disney Animation, and they don't have to pay heed to what others have done. _Frozen II_ has nothing to do with that live-action TV show, and will contradict it at will.

@rbrtck
5 жыл бұрын
Occasionally something unexpected might happen with her powers, but otherwise they are always under her control as long as she doesn't fear herself, which was the big problem she had to resolve in _Frozen_ . It was resolved when Elsa was finally able to touch Anna without fearing herself (hurting Anna), since Anna had apparently frozen to death into a magical ice statue anyway, and Anna came back to life with Elsa still touching her. Elsa quickly realized that it was only her self-fear that made her dangerous, and once she did that she no longer considered herself inherently dangerous and no longer feared herself anymore. In this teaser, Elsa is not fighting for control at all. Clearly she has perfect control of her powers, just like in the original movie whenever she wasn't feeling self-fear. She needs to cross a large body of water guarded by the Nokk, a powerful water elemental spirit, to continue on her quest to discover the origin and secrets of her own powers. Learning this will hopefully allow her to figure out how to save Arendelle from some kind of disaster. Their battle will be intense.

I feel like Disney is missing a HUGE opportunity here, to build a shared universe (a la the MCU). We already know that Rapunzel and Frozen (and I'm pretty sure Brave) takes place in the same universe... can you imagine building it from individual films and then bringing them together like the Avengers, like watching Christoff and Flyn Ryder getting into trouble together with Rapunzel, Merida and Anna teaming up together to rescue them... even the interaction between Maximus and Sven, for instance? Come on Disney, make it happen.

Really, you don't think they're Disney Princesses? Why not? Would love to see you a video describing why.
@EmmyNoble
5 жыл бұрын
No, they are not Disney princesses. They aren't included in the brand like Cinderella, Moana, etc. Disney keeps Frozen as its own, separate brand. Technically, they are Disney Princesses, but they aren't officially under that title.
@rbrtck
5 жыл бұрын
Of course Elsa and Anna are Disney princesses because they are (or had been, in Elsa's case, since she became a queen) princess characters created by Disney Animation. That's all that really matters. What they are not a part of is the Disney Princess™ merchandise licensing franchise of the Disney Consumer Products (DCP) division, that's all. This has nothing to do with what they are, it is merely how another division of the Disney company chooses to market various characters in order to maximize their overall sales, revenue, and profit. Many people--apparently a great many people--completely buy into DCP's marketing scheme, and consider members of their Disney Princess™ franchise the only so-called "official" Disney princesses. This is widely perceived as a great honor reserved for only the best characters, but all of this is rather silly, in my view--just the public being fooled by marketing. Which is more meaningful, that Elsa and Anna were created by Disney Animation as Disney princesses, or that DCP, who are just a bunch of merchandise peddlers, decided that they could sell even more toys and such if they kept these two characters in their own hugely lucrative Frozen™ franchise instead of integrating them with the other princesses?
@rbrtck

Not exactly. It's possible these movies are all connected.
@rbrtck
5 жыл бұрын
@@EmmyNoble Anything is possible, I suppose, but I have never seen one shred of hard, believable evidence. If Disney Animation had made any effort to connect any of their movies, let alone all of them, then it would be blatantly obvious like Marvel's MCU--they would never waste such a thing like they're supposedly doing. Instead there is no real evidence whatsoever, just wild, unfounded theories. That can be imaginative and fun, don't get me wrong (even the directors of _Frozen_ do this in their spare time), but I'm addressing the factual truth here. If people actually, seriously, literally believe that there are deliberately made, concrete connections between any Disney animated features, then meaning no offense, that is akin to believing that NASA had never put astronauts on the Moon. Frankly, it's *that* silly. Believe me, no one in their right mind would construct a stealth cinematic universe spanning 82 years so far--from _Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs_ to _Frozen II_ --only to do absolutely nothing obvious with it. If there were a Disney Cinematic Universe, then Disney would promote the crap out of it. For the believers, this is a false conspiracy theory, nothing more.

Given the whole Fall shtick, I think Elsa's powers are waning, or are at least not as amplified when not in Winter. If this were the first film, she would have been able to freeze large portions of the ocean. So I think the trailer's supposed to let us know that we're going to be seeing a toned-down Elsa, who has to rely on her allies a little more.
@jamarshadow3905
