The entire world is suffering from the same parts shortage, it's not just Harley, it's every major corporation that decided to outsource to Asia. Now we are stuck having to wait after plants that have not been able to keep up with the demand, logistics in shipping ports operating with half the staff, and a massive backlog of customs clearances to get all this stuff in. It is not Harley's fault, it is how we made this world.
@gingebrien2408

It’s the fault of Biden administration and the Communist Democrats with the assistance of the Republican Rhino party. Every pillar of American society has been corrupted and destroyed. Let’s note myself included in the silent majority, has remained sheeple. Who would have believed that a plandemic could get American’s to stay home from their businesses snd wear masks. Mr Science ( sarcasm for those that need everything explained) aka Don Fauci should be arrested and tried for treason and crimes against humanity by a military tribunal. Silence is consent. Democratic policies including bullshite climate change has effectively made the Partially owned California ports back logged. Ships can’t unload and are slowed through customs. Do to the taxation, cost of fuel, multiple laws like AB5 and limits on age of trucks allowed to travel on California highways, all have contributed & made California unfriendly to truckers. All Democratic policies are destroying America.

You were lucky Danny! In 2011 I was riding from Vancouver to Moab. As the trip progressed I noticed a "looseness" in the ride and by the time we arrived in Salt Lake City my '06 Road King was not riding properly. Ultimately about 100km past Provo I finally stopped and took off the saddlebags and noticed 4 spokes were broken. I returned to Provo slowly where they tightened the spokes because they didn't have a replacement. I had to carefully ride to Kingman Arizona for a replacement wheel - that was the closest dealership with parts. S, I feel your frustration.

My Friend, I have been to Australia and found the people there to be wonderfully special, caring and helpful like no other place I have been. It was so sad for me to see how the Australian people were treated by their government during the "lock down" . The American Constitution protects the right to "bear arms" not only for self protection but mainly to keep our government from becoming tyrannical facists, like so many other places where the people have no way to defend against it. Keep the ride going my friend, thank you for taking us along with you so we can also see so many places in the world we may never get the chance to see otherwise. May God bless you my friend and brother.

Something else You may not realize is our own government agencies are behind many of the mass shootings in America attempting to sway people against G_ns so they can disarm the people as Mao, Hitler, and so many others did before enslaving the population. We are living in a sick world today. Do you think the Australian government would have been so harsh on the people if the population was still armed?? Something to think about. I know you don't get political in your vlogs but I hope you understand there are powers that intend to enslave the world, As long as America is armed it will stand in the way. look into the "world economic forum" to understand why the world has become such a sick place. I feel your pain. I bought a ‘21 GoldWing Tour last year. Had a great first season with it and put a ton of km on it. On July 3rd, this year, I hit a pothole in our town. Here it is September 16th and I’m still waiting for a front rim. No indication when one will be available. I live in Canada, in a border town, so I called a nearby US dealership and they’re in the same boat. Yesterday, I called Honda Canada, Customer Relations. Apparently there is a shortage of many parts, not just my rim and they’re still attributing it to Covid. They were no help and couldn’t / wouldn’t give me a timeline either. I checked eBay… nothing. I haven’t ridden since my incident and the only thing stopping me is that rim. Our riding season is winding down and I’ve had to cancel two trips. It sucks. I’m only partway through this video, so as soon as I post my comment, I’ll get back to it to see how you made out. Hopefully, the rim works and you’re back in business. Safe travels to you.

In 2019 I went on a 43 day 12,700 miles ride on my HD Triglide to the 4 corners of the lower 48 states (Calif, Washington, Maine, & Key West, Florida). I broke down 3 times (compensator twice) and was stranded in Maine for 4 days waiting on parts that I had to pay extra to have air freighted to the dealership. In 2021, on the way to Key West, the drive belt broke. Had to wait 5 days for a belt for my 2016. Sad and frustrating.

One problem not with just the bike industry but any, is that parts or stock on shelves are seen as dead money as they are not making any income becasuse it could be months before the part is sold. Whereas an extended wait list for a part means they can have your money for weeks/months earning intereset ,then ask for it to be made and shipped at their factory ( be it the US /Asia or where ever).

“Why do you have guns?” for the same reason I have motorcycles. They’re fun and as a free man I have the right to as long as I’m not using it to commit a crime. It’s called “responsibility.” I get it, you’re used to living in a nanny state where the government gives you privileges based on your compliance but here we don’t ask the government for permission to defend ourselves. Or to walk out our front door to get a coffee or travel. We do have a problem though and it’s a pretty big one, but it’s not a gun problem.

Well, after the Mass shooting in Port Arthur our Aus gov did actually do something to protect us and changed the guns laws and guess what, things changed! You can feel as free as you want but if you are all so scared and feel the need to arm yourselves even though your only civilians and there no war going on then I’d say your living in a bit of a backward situation. No offence meant. Just saying. You think we’re a nanny state and your free, but your guns are the very reason your scared and feel the need to have guns for defence. A bit ironic. I can honestly say I’m not scared one little bit here. If someone wants to kill me they are going to have to get pretty personal about it and hands on. It’s not as easy and far less likely. Trying going on a killing spree with a knife. You won’t get as far that’s for sure.

Cryogenic treatment of metals is not heating them up, but slowly cooling the parts down to -244F or -153C with liquid nitrogen. Some process require even lower temperatures. This changes the structure of the atoms in metal and can increase durability, reducing stress and reduce fatigue in the metal. There are other benefits as well. A lot of race teams will cryogenically treat engine and transmission parts.
