My lavatory didn’t. It got nicked. I phoned the police. They conducted house-to-house enquiries, all to no avail. Unfortunately, they had nothing to go on. Now that’s what I call lavatory humour!……..I’ll get my coat.

I wish I were born in the 70's so I could grow up watching this. But no, I am an 90's child, and what do we get? Little Britain... Apart from That Mitchell and Webb Look, and possibly a few others, modern sketch shows are dire. Look at Horne and Corden; how the hell THAT can be called comedy, I'll never know.
@omp199

I was born in the 1970s, and I can assure you that most of the stuff on television during my childhood was dire, too. My memory of the typical evening's televisual entertainment is of endless nauseating "variety" shows. "A Bit of Fry & Laurie" was good, but there was little else to match it at the time. From the 2000s, I think you can easily match Fry and Laurie with Mitchell and Webb.

The label. That's the British word for it. But you're right. "St Michael" was a brand name used by the company Marks & Spencer, back in the day. According to an article from "The Telegraph", they originally registered the brand name in 1928 but abandoned it in 1999. So this sketch is a little dated.
