I had a chance to demo the FS tour paddle at my local club. What a fantastic experience. The paddle has a great feel, both in the playing surface and the improved grip. Exactly what I have been looking for!! Another great product from the folks at Franklin !!

I’ve been an avid pickleball player for years now and let me tell you, nothing compares to these FS Tour Paddles. I’ve tried numerous paddles from competitors (I won’t name names) but Franklin has sold me with the FS Tour Dynasty. I immediately noticed how well this paddle felt in my hand. The elongated handle is unparalleled when it comes to comfort and durability. I think this paddle will take the game by storm, just like pickleball did to the sporting industry!

Love this paddle so far! It feels great in my hand and the weight gives me an ideal blend of power and control. When switching paddles, it has typically taken me a lot of time to get used to the new one, but this was a very natural transition and if anything helped improve my game from the beginning. For reference I got the FS Tour Tempo 14 (Electric Blue) a week ago and used it in my Tu/Th league here in Scottsdale - seeing a lot of these out here already too. It’s still early and I will update my review if anything changes, but this feels like a winner for me.

FS Tour is the best paddle I’ve owned in quite some time, maybe ever. The grip is second to none and the feel/weight is impeccable. The smooth and compact feeling of each swing is my top takeaway and has made it an incredibly easy transition.

Question, which of those paddles do you recommend for being control focused? I have the Carbon STK and as we all know the build quality is rough but the paddle fits my playing style as it really absorbs a lot of power and my shots are easy to control. I’m excited to give these paddles a go but want to make sure I pick up the right one.

The Tempo is built for more control as the paddle shape is designed with a larger sweet spot. If you like the Carbon STK shape then we would recommend the Dynasty version as it mirrors closer in shape as an elongated paddle. You can also always reach out to our customer service team if you have more specific questions: franklinsports.com/franklin-sports/contact-us. Can't wait for you to check out the new series.

The FS tour dynasty paddle is a true game changer for me. My game was lacking some power and with this racket I have seen great improvement. I’m making shots now with more force and delivering winning shots. Opened up a whole new game for me.

Is the paddle surface true carbon, or is it that nitro-infused carbon from the STK?

This is a true T700 raw carbon fiber.

Those are some very high swing weight paddles. Just because it’s suited for pros like JW, those numbers I’m gonna guess are much too high for the bulk of consumers. Especially smaller and/or older players that don’t have big muscles or perfect form. Tennis elbow is a real concern from playing with paddles with high swing weight. I, myself would fall into both categories and would not purchase any of the paddles just based on swing weight alone. I also think you will sell very few to women also based on these numbers. Sounded like you listened too much on the opinion of pros that need specific characteristics suited for their personal play style and ability and forgot about appealing to the masses that are looking for reasonable numbers. The static weight is also ridiculously high in stock form and limits customization, ie lead/tungsten tape, edge guard, overgrips, though to be fair your twist weights are very good. I hope you guys didn’t copy Joola’s Hyperion and embedded a layer of lead tape along the perimeter underneath the edge guard to cause the high static weight. Maybe I’ll give you guys a try on your next iteration. FWIW, I own DBD 14, GBX PPE, Luxx, PLE & PLE-S, Perseus (not a smart purchase) and an Arete by Ethos.

Hey John, Thanks so much for your comments and feedback. When we designed this paddle collection our goal was to provide a series of paddles that offer a wide range of specs to cater to the many different pro and amateur athletes playing pickleball. Our swing weights, twist weights, and static weights are in line with other high-end offerings on the market. The folks over at Pickleball Effect have a great database of different stats for major manufacturers. You can sort the database by a variety of factors: pickleballeffect.com/pickleball-paddle-database/. Also, a major focus for us was to provide players with a paddle that requires limited modification out of the box through lead tape, overgrips, etc. Offering a wide range of specs allows the player to choose a paddle that fits their game and preferences best. We’d love for you to try our paddle and see how it fits your game. Thanks again for taking the time to check out our new paddle.

Hope I can demo your paddles somewhere in the Chicagoland area. I will always give paddle a fair shake and reserve my final verdicts. Very familiar with PE (Braydon’s) stat sheet, but I will stand by the heavier than normal static weight and very high swing weight as a possible issue for rec players, which would comprise a bulk of sales in this market. For context, I’ve purchased over 30 paddles since July of this year and have gifted many of them to friends after a play session or two, just to get more of my friends into the sport and I can honestly say only 1 guy in our group could wield your high swing weight paddles. The other 15 could not. If anything, they have been looking for 7.8-8.0 ounce paddles with lower swing weight for faster hands. Our strong guy just picked up an Engage MX 6.0 and a Pickleball Apes PLE-S. And thanks to my recommendations my crew purchased 3 more PLE-S, DBD 16, CRBN 2X. All based on lower swing weight/faster hand speed. That, IMHO, is the trend for next year. Maybe I’m wrong and your research says heavier and higher twist weight will be hot next year. We shall see. Good Luck. Hope these paddles are still better than the STK😀

Looks like I was right about the paddles being too heavy/high swingweight. The new 12mm’s with the low SW will be more interesting and better for the masses!!!
