I bought the Leica CL shortly after it came out in late 2017. It came with the 23mm f/1.2 Summicron and a bit later I got the 60mm f/2.8 Elmarit Macro ASPH. That was an outlay of serious money but now 6 years later I don't regret anything. The camera is set up for manual shooting and after a short time I did not have to think about the camera and was only thinking about managing composition and light. The image quality is simply amazing and requires little tweaking. Fuji simply can't match that, period. This camera will stay with me and I don't have to agonise about this type of gear anymore. I thought about the 35mm-TL lens but I never really missed that focal length (50mm equiv.). I've got a small 35mm Pentax ltd. f/2.8. with a converter if I really need that focal length. Thanks for You thoughts.

Thank you for sharing your experience with the CL. The 23/2 Summicron is a must lens for the system and I would love to own the 60/2.8 macro. Fuji has done a great job with the recent 40Mp sensor but their cameras still don't match the build quality and user experience of CL.

I understand your criticism. Currently have the xp3 with the 35 1.4 and 23 1.4. I am gonna sell the 23 1.4 and use only one lens. Also gonna buy a used X-H1 with the xf 16 -80. I will use my xp3 for the ovf experience (yes i use that most of the time,), compactness, low light capabilities. And i am gonna use the X-h1 for video, when i need a zoom lens, when i want a great grip and big EVF. two camera which cover all my needs :)

X-E3 with the grip is still smaller and thinner than X-PRO 3 with better handling. You need to hold them in your hands to 'see' the difference.

I prefer the XT4 over the pro3, mostly because of the back screen. Leica’s just too expensive, and with Fuji about to bring out a 40 megapixel APC camera, why would you pay that much for a Leica? My biggest problem with Fuji is the auto focus, and I’m not going to buy another camera until they fix it! And last of all why not get a thumb grip for your pro3?
@PetrGardianTV

I'm curious to see how much will Fuji charge for the 40Mpx cameras. Not a few pennies I'm afraid! And it will take time before they depreciate on used market to acceptable level - like for example Leica CL and TL lenses. X-PRO 3 thumb grip makes it even larger - but something tells me it will be necessary with the new 1.4 primes.

Ben, I use a Leica X, and trust me while it is rubbish in specs, stats, speed etc etc etc - my most loved and best selling images are shot on it. There is a look in a Leica image that I cannot even recreate using similar settings with images from my Nikon Df, its a mystery I cannot explain, but really does explain why people spend ridiculous sums of money for a camera, and why Leica keep making them.

Petr, Interesting to hear your insights on all these models. I recently sold off my X-T20 and have an X-E3 purchased and it should arrive soon. I am drawn to the rangefinder style wih viewfinder on the edge of the camera. And i also want to see how these new Fuji prime lenses will render images. I splurged and got a Nikon Z6 but still like the smaller size of the Fuji’s when just walking around.

NIkon just released very compact 40mm lens that will go nicely with Z6! Regarding Fuji - I'm afraid the new primes will be too big for X-E3 but rendering will be great - can't wait to test them out (soon) :)

Nice video. I’m always surprised when someone would rid a camera with 2 card slots for a camera with 1. Surely the peace of mind of a backup card overcomes any cosmetic reason to change.

I follow the two camera rule too, with the same seven exceptions. LOL I will always lust after a Leica, but my anal-retentive OCD won't allow me to actually take something that beautiful out of the box and expose it to the possibility of it getting dusty or God forbid, scratched. It's hard enough buying a LNIB used Fuji and violating it for the first time.

Just find a reasonably priced secondhand one from a Leica dealer - I use Red Dot in London, and have a Leica X typ 113 - shit specs, reviewed by pro's as being shit and oddly creates amazingly unique images. In good light I prefer it to the Nikon Df, naturally when the light dims the Df comes into its own. But I wouldnt sell my Leica for anything, I just ponder about the day it dies.

I currently have three cameras. I bought a X-T4 body a couple of months ago because it was at a price I couldn't resist. I also have a X-T3 and a X-H1. Previously I have owned an X-Pro1 and an X-Pro2. The appeal of the X-Pro1 and the X-Pro2 was the range finder style and the OVF. But I ended up selling them both because the X-H1 despite being heavier is just a better overall camera. The plan when I got the X-T4 was that I would not need the X-H1 so I would sell it. I have since found that although the X-T3 and X-T4 are higher spec cameras I actually prefer the body shape and top info screen of the X-H1. So it will be kept for a while yet.
