You just can’t beat this camera..... I’m a ex Nikon and Canon shooter and I just got sick and tired of lugging gear around. It’s all gone and now I only have the X100f and now I feel free to enjoy shooting images again..... what I see with the eye is what I capture with an image, it’s amazing...

omg me too. Im a female so its even worse for a woman to carry so much gear while going on holidays.. like i had a D750.. a 24-70mm... a 85mm.. 23mm... that i brought with me and it got to the point that i didn't even want to take any photos anymore. Im happy i made the swap to fujifilm and i don't think (and hope) i won't go back to dslr cameras again

Yes, I know the XT3 and XPro3 have newer processorers, faster af...blah blah blah! Nevertheless, it's all about the quality of the image. My *XT2* & *X100F* match up great!

I have that puppy too and I love it. The leaf shutter is awesome with flash. Although the lens is a 23 mm the 24MP gives you room enough to crop with preservation of quality. I have the 50mm FF eq extension lens and that is not bad either. Autofocus is very good, it's not a fast speed sports camera, although I made some nice kite surfing shots with it. And build in ND filter I have the silver one which makes it even more stealthy , like and old film camera

I sold my X-T2 to keep my X100F just because it fits how I shoot these days. The fixed focal length simplifies shooting. Fuji does offer wide and tele converter lenses to give you some flexibility with focal lengths. Love this camera.

Your statement regarding the leaf shutter is a bit inaccurate. I believe the X100F can only sync as fast as 1/1000s with a flash. And I say "only" in the lightest of context because it's still an insane speed compared to higher-end DSLRs.
@LeeZavitz

I actually just googled it and you would be correct it’s 1/1000. Weird that the camera still lets you shoot past 1/1000. Because I’ve set it to 1/4000 and shot at that with flash

Great review and really like this camera! Lenses are a little softer at closer focus distances, that‘s normal. They could have limited the focus distance... but stopping down probably helps a little so it’s nice to somehow have the possibility of getting really close. But the softness is something to keep in mind. In my opinion the lens is really impressive for its size!

You mentioned Fuji servicing: just after I bought my X100F encountered a problem with the EVF window 'shutter blind' getting stuck halfway down the window. Contacted Fuji they recommended I send the camera to the authorized Fujifilm service center they specified which I did and got the camera back 9 days after I sent it to them. Problem solved along with they did a few 'firmware updates' to it and I am very happy with their warranty servicing and the camera.

Would be interested in your thoughts on the location of the Q button. It appears to be right where your thumb would go when taking a picture. Any problems activating the Q menu when taking a picture. I have had 2 X cameras, the X30 (sold after a short while) and now the XE2. On both I keep pushing unintended buttons while trying to get a good purchase on the camera while taking a picture. I have also rented a X100T and had similar problems. Maybe I am just not a small camera guy but am seriously considering going back to a DSLR. Thanks for your thoughts.

Great review mate, and rare enough to see a review illustrated by nice looking pictures. Are these shots straight out of camera jpeg? I just bought this camera with the intent of getting completely rid of raw editing, as I've seen the film simulation modes getting tons of praises for the past few years. I made some jpeg pictures profiles I like, but didn't get the chance to really test the camera and its settings as thoroughly as you did.

Mike H. I sold my xpro2 about 5 months ago. Around the time I bought the x100f . I was never a fan of the 23mmf2. I don’t think it’s up to the rest of the Fuji lenses I’ve used optically. I wasn’t overly impressed with it like I am with the 35mmf2. But a lot of people love the 23mm so don’t take my word for it if you are thinking about getting it. It’s a cheaper option if you already have an xpro2
