I use a Ninja V with my Xt3. However, I am not using it with my XH2s. I have a much less expensive but good external monitor that I use with the XH2s but it isn’t a recorder. The reason is the camera can do internally almost everything (raw shooting excepted) in camera that the external recorder does.

@@canderson1955 The only reason I got the Ninja V is my cards are not big enough for handle videos. I used to only take photos until now I have kid, and I’m start to take videos. SSD is way cheaper and easier to work with iPad and LumaFusion.

Nice video...this is going to be a great series. My spouse is awaiting the backordered X-H2 to arrive (has an X-H1), so your timing is perfect. One thought regarding a possible video (not just on the xh series)...we are sick of watching people demonstrate "rolling shutter" by panning cameras at ridiculous rates of speed. Yes, rolling shutter exists...BUT it would be so much more practical to demonstrate how to minimize rolling shutter in normal videography (not "pan back and forth so fast that you have to stop watching"). As for stills...yeah, sometimes you just have to use mechanical shutter. Anyway...just a thought for a possible technique video down the road.

Thanks, I got my X-H2 a few weeks ago. New to Fuji, I jumped from Canon due to their general lack of lens support for their own APS cameras, and overpriced full frame lenses. So far I'm enjoying the X-H2, and this video was very helpful although I had figured out some things. One complaint (with system, not with you!), lack of a printed manual in the box. The online manual is fine for my laptop, but painful to use on my iphone.

Another great video Chris. I've recently picked up the X-H2 and while I'm familiar with the Fuji menu system (coming from the X-T4), I always find that I learn new things watching your videos. Maybe my turn to give something back - I save my files as lossless compressed and can still see my photos in thumbnail preview when I load my raw files (rather than just seeing thumbnails with only icons, as you've experienced). I use Windows and have the RAW Image Extension app - this or an OIS equivalent app should solve your issue. Looking forward to you testing out the X-H2 further in time, particularly hearing your thoughts on its AF performance vs X-T4 and X-H2S!

Hi Chris. Perhaps you can help me with this: I always use focus peaking and AF-ON button. In my XT4 when I half press the trigger button, focus peaking lines disappear which is good because it gives me a clean view of the scene just before taking the picture. But that doesn't happen in my XH2S. Focus peaking lines keep showing. I've tried different configurations without success.

Had a shower thought about the settings for the 40mp sensor cameras. For the lenses that don't resolve 40mp well, or hitting diffraction too early in some cases, do you think reducing the image size to medium (about 20mp on 3:2) actually works to emulate that sensor size to get around those lens problems?

I am always grateful for good videos. I'm using Fujifilm for the first time with Canon's X-H2S, and AF is still difficult. In Canon, if you touch the LCD while shooting a video, the focus is re-focused on the touched area, but Fuji does face AF and sets it to Area, and the touch doesn't work? When I can't focus while doing face AF, is there a way to re-capture it with a touch like Canon does?

As an owner of a Fuji XT2 and more recently, an XS10, apart from Fuji's, apparent, way behind the rest of field AF/IAF, call it what you will- purchase a Sony a6400, for stellar IAF, what shortcomings with the previous X series was Fuji attempting to address or rectify. Video, but not for me, is apparently huge now, so I have answered my own question for the video centric model. However, hadn't read or heard of complaints about file sizes, sensor issues. So what shortcomings are there to draw current top Fuji X series bodies, and I include my admittedly higher level, but keenly priced , S10, with a sensor that does all I need. Yes, there have been ongoing rumours about upgrading the XT4, maybe a new XT5, however what shortcomings in the present body lineup, apart from AF, is Fuji seeking to rectify? Please flesh out my ignorance. Also, if Fuji is to release uba type, over specced bodies that contain new features not widely clamoured for, obviously prices will increase at a time when the FF mirrorless range has matured. I really doubt many Fuji X body shooters will be willing to pay for more expensive bodies.

Greetings from India 🙏🙏 I love your reviews and I look out for them before buying a camera... But I have one small request / suggestion though... If you can include the creative features like Multiple/double exposure, focus bracketing, etc. Would be helpful. For eg. In Multiple/double exposure how many modes do we get, number exposures can be set, do we get the Raw file also or only Jpeg files... Cause my XH-1 doesn't gives a Raw file... I think if reviers like you starts including such features Fujifilm shall/might listen and include the same in future cameras/firmware updates. Please consider my request 🙏🙏 God Bless 🙏🙏
