He is super gentle when he does his makeup- other people drag brushes on their face or beat the daylights out of their face with coemetic sponges- I see true artistry in his application. Maybe I’m nerding out over here but he really does take his time. Like I do t see a “routine / let’s throw this stuff in our face” type of application I see a artistry an appreciation for the entire process. I think I missed the process of putting on makeup more than actually wearing it. I stopped pro makeup in 2018, so after the first lockdown I realized how much I missed it and wore makeup to work every day, and I've never looked back. The process of putting it on is the only hour of the day when I can tune out and not think about my business or anything serious. I even go full glam in the winter when I'm not sweating and greasing everything off. I don't know what people think when they walk into this little coffee shop and the owner (me) is making their coffee with a full face of glittery eyeshadow and lashes on, but I don't care 🤣

I trust you all so much that I have my 13 year old granddaughter watching you all. You both are so talented, honest, caring, funny and I just love both. I had given up a makeup after having chemo, becoming paralyzed and some medications that I’m currently taking. After finding your channel I learned techniques that have me wearing makeup again. Thank you so much 🥰🥰🥰 You are gorgeous 🥰🥰 The miniature Schnauzers are my favorite dog. I got one 18 years ago and she passed away this past September. She saved my life by laying on my leg and licking it all suddenly all the time, which the doctor found cancer at a few weeks later. September 12,2020 she wouldn’t jump up in the bed to sleep. I raised up and sat on the side of the bed and she walked up, layer her head on my foot and looked up at me with a look that broke my heart. I leaned down, rubbed her ears, told her I understood what she was saying and that I loved her so much. I didn’t want to fall asleep because I wanted to spend every moment with her. I dosed off around 3:30 in the morning and I woke up around 30 minutes later. She waited until I fell asleep, crawled up as close to me as she could and passed away. It’s like she didn’t want me to have to watch her go. My family tells everyone that she was more human than a dog and there was no other way to explain her personality. I miss her so much and I will love her forever. Give your fur babies a kiss for me 🥰🥰

Love the By Terry palettes. The imprints of Paris are beautiful. Was blessed to go to Paris, once. It was a difficult trip because of chronic pain/surgeries. I dreamed of going to Paris, to see the Eiffel Tower and go to the Louvre (to see the Code of Hammurabi, I teach criminal justice courses). While I spent a lot of time in bed, due to the pain, I got to do a few things. So, I have a few of By Terry’s palettes, as I love the imprints. I cried happy tears at both the Eiffel Tower and when I saw the Code of Hammurabi. The trip reminded me to never give up on my dreams, no matter what I’m going through.

That lockdown has actually brought my makeup to life. During the spring and summer of 2020 I have been buying loads of new cosmetics and learning how to apply it, color theory etc. And now I feel completely free to go out with some ridiculous colors and makeup techniques used in my makeup! So not only I didn't stop wearing full-on makeup during all that shit, but also now I am fully self-confident in terms of my makeup thankful to a lockdown.

In Nebraska here. We never had a full shut down. Even in the beginning. The lawmakers in this state know people have to go to work and make a living. I have 55 year old skin. I rarely went out in the sun. I'm real thankful for my skin. For me, less is more. While wearing makeup.

I’ve had time to practice & play w makeup in quarantine, and doing my makeup has become almost like meditation time for me. So I would lean towards answering that I’m planning on wearing more makeup post-COVID. Not so much out of the sensation of the need to, but just for the joy of applying it.

Hearing you talk about no foundation is great. I hate the feeling of foundation on my skin so I don’t wear it. I might have to check out the radiance booster from iconic!

I actually prefer putting on makeup now. It's become a passion since quarantine. Sometimes I'll even put it on when I'm staying home to just relax.
