These days, interest in health is increasing more than ever! There are people who go looking for food that is like a health remedy in nature. From gatherers who trek through the rugged mountains to pick Sanghwang mushrooms, to people who collect wild greens that grow deep in the mountains and prepare a hearty meal, to people who make Ssanghwacha, which is completed only by human hands from start to finish! We introduce people who prepare food that is more valuable than medicine using ingredients obtained from nature and their efforts. A rare Sanghwang mushroom found at 1,000m above sea level! There are people who climb difficult mountains to collect Sanghwang mushrooms, which are said to be effective in improving immunity and fighting cancer. Starting in the morning, we gather equipment such as ropes, chisels, nets, etc., carry a bag weighing approximately 10 kg, and climb a mountain over 1,000 meters above sea level. In order to get to the native habitat, it is not easy to climb because you have to go up a rough place with no path, rather than a hiking trail or an existing road. After wandering through the difficult mountains for over half a day, I finally discovered the rare spruce Sanghwang mushroom! Spruce mushrooms are said to be rare mushrooms due to their low distribution among the spruce mushrooms. Not only that, we also discovered a horseshoe mushroom larger than a human face! Today, thankfully, I collected over 7 kg of medicinal mushrooms and descended the mountain. And the place where mushrooms are used is Baeksuk Restaurant! The collected mushrooms are boiled in a boiler for more than 10 hours and used as a medicine for boiling... Let's meet the people who help people eat precious food as a gift from nature. A restaurant in the forest that you will come across as you go up the mountain path of Jirisan Mountain, where wild greens are more precious than health remedies. The owner of this restaurant climbs the mountain every morning to collect various types of vegetables that grow in the mountains. The vegetables that are popular these days are bracken and mulberry leaves. It is said that there is no day when your back or legs are tired from bending down to cut ferns with your hands and picking high-hanging mulberry leaves with secateurs. It's been so hard digging, but it doesn't end here. Wild vegetables must be boiled in a large cauldron and washed several times before they can be served to guests. Perhaps because they recognize the owner's sincerity, it is said that more people come to eat the wild greens than the main dish, the grilled chicken. Let's go to a place that makes you feel spring while eating delicious food in a panoramic view. Handmade Ssanghwa tea made with over 15 different medicinal herbs! It is said that there are people who carefully make Ssanghwa tea, which is said to be especially good for recovering from colds and fatigue. It is made with more than 15 kinds of medicinal herbs such as magnolia, peony, and celestial root, as well as Gangwon-do deodeok, which grows at 900m above sea level, with human hands from start to finish. As there are a lot of ingredients involved, there are a lot of things to prepare. After cleaning the deodeok with a lot of dirt one by one with a brush, prepare it by using a high-pressure sprayer and ultrasonic cleaning. It is said that Magnolia Cheong must be aged for one year, and Deodeok Cheong must be fermented for over 5 years before it can be used. But this is not the end. Before entering the final process, the mixing machine, all the ingredients have to be mixed by hand without lumping them together, which is said to be quite arduous as it puts a lot of strain on the wrists and shoulders. The Ssanghwa tea blended in this way must undergo low-temperature aging for more than 5 months to be completed. Let’s go meet the people who pour their heart and soul into Ssanghwa tea using ingredients provided by nature. #Extreme job #Medicine obtained from nature #Sangwang mushroom #Wild greens #Ssanghwa tea #1,000m above sea level #Medicinal mushrooms #Horseshoe mushroom #Fern #Mulberry leaf #More than 15 kinds of medicinal ingredients #Handmade Ssanghwa tea #Magnolia #White peony #Cheongung #Magnolia herb #Deodeokcheong
