I'm growing cannabis for the first time this year, even though i'm not a smoker. It's just such a cool plant! I love all the different techniques for topping, low stress training, supercropping. It's taught me a lot that i'll probably apply to my tomatoes next year. Im trying to grow tobacco too... weird coincedence. Both rustica and canadian virginia. But the plants have stayed to just their cotyledon leaves and not grown any more in like a month so i dont know whats going on with them. Ill have to start them indoors super early next year.

Progress! I'd move that struggling little peach tree into the passive solar greenhouse before it dies. Keep it pruned, give it lots of calcium, and it should do well.

Nice looking spaces Curtis .. thanks for the tour! Wow I can't believe the amount of heat you are dealing with .. too bad you couldn't package some of it for the winter! lol Lots of work has gone into your mountaintop!

Are you dealing with the high heat and drought that the USA East and West Coasts are dealing with? Also, there is discussion about the intensity of the sun this year. Similar to your high tunnel, many are finding success with makeshift shade cloth tents over some crops.

Would the chickens and turkeys do better with more free range pasture? Seems like such a small pen? Maybe a larger fenced in area with more natural areas? I'm a subscriber and saved this video to 3 different informational playlists. Thanks for the tour and ideas, Best

I don't know about turkeys, but I've been free ranging chickens for a few years now and they don't really like to range around and tend to stick close to cover.

Very very nice! -- QUESTION -- Curtis, we love what youa re doing.. My husband needs glasses and really likes your eye glasses. Could I be so bold as to ask you the make and model of your glasses? I think I see Ray Ban on the side but I can't figure out the exact model number... Much appreciated!

Curtis, Your property is looking stunning. All your thoughtful, consistent hard work is really showing. I know you have a series of ponds, but is it possible to have a small artificial water feature for bees, dragon flies, frogs in your terrace areas. It would cool the area down and be a handy area to fill up a bucket of water to wash one's hands. Your soil making is very impressive.

Please talk about why you don't raise Meat Rabbits? They are the most productive source of meat by far and eat foraged food from your property. No special winter needs.

Some just don't raise the meat they don't like. I really enjoy raising rabbits though. 2 does easily gives me 300lbs of meat a year and i feed them on our weeds during the summer. Im in NM and don't have pasture.

7:24 The wire trellis panels shown here are commercially called by what name and supplied by what source? Each rectangle is how many inches or cm high and wide? The cattle panels in Iowa have smaller rectangles that make it harder to pick big tomatoes and hold on when withdrawing through them.

Have you tried to propagate an elderberry plant using the root cutting method?
@offgridcurtisstone

Yes. Many times. Most Elderberry varieties are easy to propagate. These ones, it cannot be done. Which is kind of cool. They're super exclusive.
@Santana-Rose

@@offgridcurtisstone I live down outside of Kelowna and have had the same difficulty with our wild elderberries. I'm thinking you have the local blue elderberry which is actually better than black but notoriously impossible to propagate.
