Appreciate the real life video Alex. Man I really enjoy seeing up close video of you strapping things down and using the chains. I was going to ask if you'd ever do a video directly about securement but these videos are pretty thorough. Appreciate that. Them doughnuts look killer👍🍻 Cars and coffee was pretty cool too. Hey, thank you for the positive feedback. One time when I have plenty extra time I can do a more thorough securement video. Everytime I’m loading I’m always in a rush to hit the road because I’m always pressed for time plus making videos while loading takes away some time too. I will try to do it in the near future. Donuts were amazing 😁👍🏻🍩

Has there been an analysis comparing hot shot trucking to semi trucking? The factors I can think of include cost of a 1 ton dually to a OTR cab, a 40 foot trailer compared to a 53 foot trailer, fuel economy (a dually appears to roughly double the mileage of an OTR cab), insurance and upkeep. I am sure there are several other factors I am missing. A study like this would make for an interesting cost accounting or industrial engineering paper.

Hey good morning Monday hopefully you’re out of California loaded up looking forward to the next video man you hit the jackpot, donuts, protein, and a car show all in one. Good morning. Still in Cali. Still early here. Hoping to be out of here today. That donut spot was amazing. Food and donuts were delicious, the mini car meet was great. Yeah the straps usually need to be twisted if the load is taller and the straps stretch long with nothing against them, if that makes sense. Otherwise they start vibrating from the wind. 👍🏻

@@Mr.AlexKogan do you only use your dispatching service or do you sometimes look at the DAT and truckstop load boards? I’m just curious to see if there’s any difference between the two if it’s worth it or if it’s better to just pay the fee to a dispatching service

I never knew what type of prices box trucks get per mile but I try to be no less than $2 per mile. Sometimes depending on the situation you have to accept a little lower price just to change your location because sometimes for instance being out west it’s a bit harder to get out of that area.

Do you scale after each load you pick up ? What the weight limit on the steering and drive or trailer
@Mr.AlexKogan
7 ай бұрын
I do not scale after each load because that would get expensive and really no reason to do that. My trailer can hold 15k so majority of the weight has to be closer to the axles. I try to limit the weight in front of the trailer because the heavier you go in front the more uncomfortable the ride will be. So heaviest over the axles of the trailer and a little in front. Also I limit the weight on the tail of the trailer because they also makes for an uncomfortable ride.
