Great video of your van walk through and love your van, lovely homely touches. Has given us great ideas for when we receive our van ( hopefully soon 13 month wait already!) I have a tip for your fridge that will be very handy for keeping it clean and so easy, it's a game changer! We airbnb our home and to keep my fridge always clean I line the shelving with non slip draw liner (even the door shelving) just cut it to size. When you need to clean your fridge you just pull out the liner, wipe them over, dry them off and place them back on the shelving (clean shelving) This has saved me so much time and my fridge is always clean. Hope this helps. Thanks for taking the time to do and share your videos. Happy and safe Travels 🤗

A couple of ideas to fix the mindless positioning of the water pump switch and the BMS. the Fusion Speaker will have a cavity behind it and you may be able to trace a wire and extend the water pump switch wiring and place the switch near the speaker. The BMS has a 5 mtr cable which is a bit limiting, you should be able to move the BMS onto the front panel cupboard. A small hole saw and bingo, this may not be the most aesthetic but certainly a lot more practical & usable. RVing is all about compromise…. and fun.

Hey guys, lovin' the vids, best of luck with the channel. Q. how does the Truma air heater go with the control away from the bedside, do you find you need to get up to adjust temp or switch it off during the night? ie. does it get too hot or cold before it cycles. And, I noticed the temp sensor for it is just above the control panel there, is it in a good spot or would it have been better elsewhere?
@TheLifestylePioneers

Thanks! The truma seems to work really well. We've only used it as a heater a couple of times but it heats the van really quickly and then we generally turn it off. You can also set a timer for it to switch on/off. We don't have any issues with the sensor being where it is either.

@TheLifestylePioneers
3 жыл бұрын
Cheers Peter. We thought long and hard about the washing machine. In the end it came down to cost, weight and water usage. When we are off-grid, we generally can't use the amount of water required to do a load. The loads are small and we would need to use laundry's to do linen etc anyway. We don't regret it. It would be handy sometimes but not enough to warrant getting one we don't think.

It's the compromise you make with family vans with bunks. It's either that or walk straight into the kids bunks. This layout works better for our lifestyle (ie when the kids are in bed for the night we're not walking past them each time we go in an out of the van).
