Just ordered a sizing kit from tiran reliading to resize some 358 dia to 356 dia for my 350L. Looks really simple and straight forward. Tks.

I resized my Hornday FMJ for 300 black out. Just got to throw them in the tumbler to make them nice to shoot.

I've been trying for many years to get .307s in Jacketed or .308 in cast bullets. I just didn't know about these. I ordered a custom sizing die kit directly from Lee, tonight in .307 caliber. It'll take a few weeks, but it will be worth the effort. I have an antique rifle that I would love to shoot. I was getting lug setback, so I started investigating, what was causing the problem. I slugged the barrel and discovered it was a little tight. (.307) So, anyway, this should solve some of the problem. I'll load some Trail Boss rounds with some light .307s and the rifle should last forever.

Would this same process work on .308 diameter fmj rounds down to .300 diameter rounds for 7.35 Carcano?

@@jaredeggel8984 I have the dies to resize, I haven't had the time! What I have read it works fine. And I bought Lee resizing dies off ebay. Lead should resize REALLY EASY. Also I have read, you can use toilet wax for your wax it's much cheaper than ribs or Lee resizing wax.

Well, if this is so simple*effortless) why didn't you actually do some on camera?

I still don't know why Hornady or Nosler don't offer cheap 125gr 308 tipped varmint bullets (like their 110gr). This is a great solution - however, you didn't answer the main question... Z-max/V-max are thin jackets like a match grade bullet, but the FMJ (#3147B) would have a thicker jacket - hence the concern/debate.

I've sized fmj bullets in .310 diameter as well. They sized just as easy and they were for plinking rounds for my 300 blackout. Used to get pull downs, $100 per thousand and I used them as a cheap alternative for having fun. I do prefer the z-max I used for the video though because it's lighter and I only use my platform for super sonic loads.

my question is regarding the brass. for seating jacketed bullets does one have to bell/ flare the brass or is there another sizing method to apply to the brass? I realize this is sort of off subject. I am new to reloading. I am referring to 38special 357 magnum brass and say , JHP bullets. any help with this would be appreciated. thanks.

tjmooremusic pistol brass has to be flared in order to seat a bullet. Any rifle round does not, while in case prep you deburr the inside of the case mouth giving the case a beveled edge. The bullet slides in tightly and there's no need for a crimp. Semi-auto platforms should be crimped though due to the speed and abrupt chambering of a round.

Kyle Mitchell thank you. I understand that all revolver bullets must be roll crimped correct?
