For reasons of balance there's always one older heavy hitter in the room such as Ridley Scott, Jeff Bridges, Annette Benning, Oliver Stone, Michael Caine, Jeffrey Tabor or Sting . Now the overall outcome of hearing wise ways or otherwise the opposite with a distinguished dog learning new tricks. Iregardless and actually irrelevant to which way the sway may go both become equally interesting and just love the fact this formula is used.

This was surprisingly the best roundtable! Their is more insight and experience in this table than any of the actors and directors table. Everyone had valid points, I dont agree with Ridley when it comes to criticism. Journalist do have a duty of reporting but it shouldn't be an attack on someone. When creating art, it can be taken personal if not understood. But in the end Hollywood is a business. If the audience doesn't understand your art, then you can't blame journalists or audiences who voice their critiques. The first Blade Runner was very specific and audiences were split. Even Blade Runner 2049 didn't do well and that was a beautiful movie. Hollywood thrives on 50% creativity but also 50% business savinness.

Jason Blum and Blumhouse make for the most part horror with a very tight crew, production and scope, Get Out takes place in one place primarily and that place is isolated, same goes for their other movies. Ridley Scott have made big production movies since the 80's and he himself says in this video that none of his movies have passed a budget of a $106million(can say that Prometheus is reportedly $130million, though he says $100m in this video, possibly marketing added $30m), but the rest is around or under the $100million mark. No one could make Alien Covenant for a low budget, given the amount of practical effects, locations and sets that Ridley Scott uses, same goes for Prometheus, The Martian, Gladiator etc... Big scale movies needs a high budget. Also Blade Runner 2049, which he produced, it had a $150million budget and it was because of all the practical sets and practical effects had to be built for the film to match the scale and the feel of the original movie.

The US American obsession with using the term England rather than Britain or the UK is somewhat disrespectful given that this completely overlooks the three other 'nations' of the Union; Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, but for the editors to write a caption in explaining that Churchill said "England will never surrender", is deeply disrespectful. Churchill said "we shall never surrender", clearly referring to the whole of the country of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, to use the actual name. If for political reasons someone wants to say Britain, rather than the UK, to respect the island of Ireland, then that's fine, but to talk as though England is Britain or the UK is disrespectful. I'm sure Scottish, Welsh and Northern Irish soldiers fought just as hard as the English ones!

Roland Deschain He specifically stated before Prometheus that he didn't want to use the Alien because in his own words "it was cooked" yet he then listens to the fans and the movie studio by putting the Aliens extensively in Convenant perhaps it was a studio decision and he had his hands tied but I doubt it why go to all the trouble of making two different varieties. He did the one thing he said he disliked in this roundtable. I bet the other directors knew but they didn't have the balls to call him out on it.

It would be nice to have to option to download a "non-compressed" version of the movie too.
