Our dog tries to dig up the moles and voles. Not sure who does more damage to the garden 😂 We also have raccoons digging little holes all over looking for worms and grubs. Luckily it is mostly between the plants, no damage to the plants.

I love your foodforest. This is pretty much exactly what we are working towards. You are a few years ahead of us. Same kinda fruit trees and plants. Love it. I would love to hear more about your duckpond and other pond. We are just about to plan ours. Thanks so much for showing these videos. I really appreciate seeing what you are doing there ❤

Voles are my #1 nemesis in my food forest and gardens. Have had lots of struggles getting some perennials (echinaceas, monardas, valerians in particular) established because they really like to just eat all the roots right up to the soil level. They’ve even taken out some young sapling trees at times. The moles, which I don’t mind having around, create the tunnels that the voles then come use for their access to the roots. I try planting a lot of deterrents (alliums, daffodils, etc.) around, but still never seems to be enough to keep them out. I also have a cat that does some hunting of them for me, but even he can’t keep up with them. Have you found any good solutions for dealing with them?

I struggle with them as well. Look at the bright side. They are there because you have a healthy soil food web :)
