People can hate certain demographics, however Section 8 is guaranteed money whether the tenants pay or not. The tenants pay 30% and government subsidies pay 70%. I would rather have 70% of money vs $0 no money 💯💰🙏🏿🏠.

Just sale the house to someone who can afford it or leave it to a family member. Putting people in who can't afford it does nothing but destroy the neighborhood and there's not a dam thing homeowners in the neighborhood can do about it. If you must rent it set a high standard and make sure tenants can meet it, putting some protection on you and the neighborhood.

Eviction/Mortgage moratoriums were a terrible idea. Incentivizing landlords to forgive tenants on a per-case basis would have been common sense. Politicians prey on fear and emotion to expand their powers. They help no one but themselves.

They just quickly went over the most important parts. As a result of these losses suffered by property owners the smaller landlords are selling their properties mostly to bigger institutional investors who are even worse for the rental market because they’re more greedy because they answer to shareholders. Which means higher rents for all. Also the existing landlords who are keeping their properties are going to be more selective on tenant screening making it harder for poorer tenants. In addition they’re going to raise rents to try and offset their losses. People think rent is high already wait till they get their renewal notices you’re going to see a big increase. And because interest rates are too high more people can’t afford to buy which drives more demand for rentals and we don’t have enough housing supply already. That means rent prices go up even more. Thank you government.

What about the homeowners in the Neiborhood's that have to put up with all the BS from renters especially section eight renters, loud music "always outside the house in the front yard and the street", playing basketball in the street all times of the day and night, different cars pulling up playing loud music, tenants pacing up and down the street in front of the house using the phone, block style parties and the landlords don't give a dam and the home owners in the Neiborhood can't do a dam thing about. You work hard to get out of the ghetto and then the landlords bring the ghetto to you. Single family's homes are meant to be owned and lived in not rented out.

@@bettyjones973 Oh yeah, that's the sole reason prices are rising across the board in contradiction to free market AND government intervention. I mean it's not like there's an algorithm program landlords can sign up for to find the maximum price they can get away with charging. Plus many other factors that both do and mostly do not increase the business costs for landlords. Oh wait... The opposite is true.
