The Bible is a great book to read through. It took me 15 months while reading other books as well. I keep picking up Stephen King's "11/22/63" and reading in between other books but I really want to just read it until I'm finished (and forget about all the books I have waiting for me). Happy Summer Reading!!

Nice! I figured the Bible would take me about a year, but I had no idea it would take me almost 3 years! I hope you enjoy the rest of 11/22/63; I haven't read that one, but I've head so many people say they love it. There is something very satisfying as a "multi-books at once" reader to just push the others aside from time to time and focus on one until it's done. :) Hope you enjoy your summer reading as well!

I've read Clarrisa! I read it last year with a small group. We read by date of the letters so some days there were LOTS of letters to get through. While i didn't really enjoy my experience some days, now i look back and really love the story. I just wish there was an abridged version.😅 I love Dune!! I read the Bible using the Bible Recap videos last year. Life changing!! I love the insights the Lord gives her and how she explains it to us. I'm rereading the Bible this year too. King's 11/22/63 is one of my favorite books! I love your philosophy of just reading for pleasure and taking the stress off of yourself!

Wow, you are one of the few people I've heard that have actually read Clarissa! I love that idea of reading it by the dates. If I ever do a re-read, I think I would do the audio and do it by dates too! Yes, some of those letters seem to go on and on and it's an extremely slow pace, but I know what you mean. I've been with these characters for so long I'm starting to feel nostalgia towards them, lol. Glad you enjoyed Dune! I think I will really like that one too. Oh nice, yeah, the Bible Recap helped me get through the Bible so much easier - that and the KZitem channel called The Bible Project, which is amazing. I'll have a vlog when I'm done about how it went! I've heard a lot of people rave about 11/22/63 as being an amazing King book and I'm really looking forward to that one. Thank you so much for your comment and for watching! :)

Thanks Roy! When I'm reading Clarissa, I often think about what it would've been like for the people back then reading it for the first time. I'm wondering if it was released in volumes at first as opposed to a large finished story. I'm sure it kept people on their toes with the drama that Robert Lovelace stirs up! Yeah, I got a bit caught up in "the number of books" I should be reading that it definitely killed the momentum, like you said. It feels nice to let that feeling go (at least for now!). Yes, reading the Bible along with the podcast really helps! Especially some of those chapters in the Old Testament about genealogy, the laws and the repetitiveness of events regarding all those mean Kings. :D

So excited for you to read Walking Dead! I love it so much! They read really fast too. My tip is to read the first one all the way through, and then if you have any interest in the TV Show, you should watch season 1 of the show before reading book 2. Season 1 of the show is only 6 episodes and it only covers about 20% of book 1, but if I could go back in time I would love to experience the story both ways together because there are a lot of differences that are so fun!

Out of Nightmares & Dreamscapes, I have only read "Home Delivery" which is a zombie story. I adore The Walking Dead tv series, but I have not read the comic books which I can now remedy since the series has ended. The Bible Recap seems like a useful tool for reading and really understanding The Bible. I'd like to read and see Dune one day, so maybe I should watch the first movie. Great idea! I have not read the Lord of the Rings trilogy, but I've read The Hobbit a couple of times and love it. Of course, I've seen all the movies and love them as well. I think reading what you want to read at your pace is an awesome idea, Farrah. That's been my mantra pretty much since the beginning of this year. Exactly! Love your take on this, Cliff - read for fun, make the videos you like for fun and just enjoy the people that are already here enjoying the channel. Anything else is a bonus. I love that. :) I'm glad you can relate though and I think more of us really feel the same way so at least we are not alone! I'm excited to keep going with Nightmares & Dreamscapes later this summer. I'm sure I will enjoy the same ones you and Anita did as well. So far, I really liked Dolan's Cadillac and the two vampire ones I've gotten to. You're right, it's a mixed bag, but that's to be expected. :) I'm just happy I finally took the Stephen King plunge! Thank you for your honestly about the LOTR books too. I feel like everyone raves about them, but I have to remember that it will be different from the movie, and a lot of people read these when they were younger, so there's a bit of a nostalgia element that I won't have, so to take it with a grain of salt. As always, thanks for watching, Cliff and hope you, Anita and Layla are doing well and enjoying the cooler temps over there! :)

Hi. I think that making videos on big books as you are reading them would be interesting. You don’t have to be finished yet. 🦋

Clarissa is the “worst”book ever and a waste of time as the entire book is the continued use and abuse of Clarissa.

It definitely gives me a frustrated feeling as I watch Lovelace continue to manipulate her. It's like you just want her to be ok! As we know, it's a tragic story unfortunately :(. I've gotten this far, I might as well finish it, lol.

Hi Farrah! I always find a sense of familiarity with you in your videos because we read very similarly. I think you may be as close to a book twin as I've known here on booktube. Dune is my top big book of summer. I have other big books queued but I don't think I'll get to any of the others this summer. I would love to finish Middlemarch, but I'm not forcing it to happen this summer. I'm in a "we shall see" mindset. 🫠

Yeah for book twins, Mariandrea and I totally agree; so many of the books you talk about always seem interesting to me and I know you enjoy a wide variety of genres too :). Middlemarch is also on my shelf waiting for me too at some point, haha! The "wait and see" mindset sounds perfect right about now. Hope you have a wonderful reading month ahead and I hope we both get to Dune and enjoy it! :)

That’s great! I loved. Clan of the Cave Bear and especially enjoyed the second one, Valley of Horses. Hope you enjoy those and The Walking Dead! I’m glad to hear you’ll be taking it easy this summer too :)
