"Longboard dancing is being comfortable on board". This was exactly my goal, to increase "comfortable-ness" on board. Great point. Yesterday I made my first 180 and 180 switch step and it was sooo good feeling. Practiced it for 2 hours without any pause after I got it for the first time and was all pumped up. All that proved to me how your advices are great for us begginers.

I’m still deciding if I want a longboard, skateboard, or the hybrid kind. Decisions decisions!
@Crash_Knight
4 жыл бұрын
@@saponemm Answer: Yes. But seriously, it's super hard to pick. I usually go with a hybrid if I can't get both. A cruiser with a kicktail is a good middle ground since it feels somewhat like a longboard, but you can do skateboard style ollies with it and do some other skateboard tricks. Then get one of each when you can.
@saponemm

Crash, That’s Big Brain, my dude. Thanks a ton!✌️😁
@Crash_Knight
4 жыл бұрын
@@saponemm Happy to help! Learning tricks on a popsicle board will be way easier, so worst case scenario, get a cheap $30 board just to practice on it. But a cruiser should be fine for starting out and getting your balance down, getting your foot coordination better and overall just becoming more comfortable on a board. That's the first and most important step.

Hi Hans! Beginner longboarder here. I tried the 180 step today and kept thinking about what you said about carving being what makes longboard dancing. But i had a question. When i was just going around cruising i kept my trucks' kingpin somewhat on the loose end for carving, but when I started trying the 180 step i had to tighten the kingpin or else the board would tip over from weight shifting/offsetting, and I ended up losing the ease of carving. So basically my question is, how will i know when my trucks are set up ok or what should i look/feel for? thanks and can't wait for the next video of the series 😄
@LongboardsBE
7 жыл бұрын
+Maricel Calderon hmmm good question. There isn't like a way of doing that, you just have to feel for yourself. It's hard to understand but the problem is that the board "tic tac"s left to right when you dance with loose trucks? Cause then you might want to put softer bushings in :) They will give more carve while still keeping the carve smooth. If that's what you meant :) And thanks a lot for the love!! Working on it hehe

Hi . Does pintail board suit for dancing? I wanted to buy longboard but in my country theres verry little longboard shop, like it s not even exist lol unless the one skateboard shop at shopping mall. But im pretty sure not all workers know abt it and they only got shortboard. So i think i will buy online where it can ship to my country. Like at shoppee n lazada. But all of them got no brand. So im afraid to buy it. Im afraid it will break if i do tricks. Then i search at decathlon.com and they got pintail board. I wanted to buy symmetric board like urs so i dont have to worry abt which one the tail and the nose since im just a beginner. I havent even started hehe. but i prefer top mount instead of drop through. Decathlon got no top mount. So pintail is the last choice i got at decathlon. There s alot of choice at shoppe n lazada but no brand. I dont want to waste my money if it break. Huhu help.

hey hans great vid as always. keep up the good work. me and my girl started longboard dancing and it's great fun to do. but..... the thing i sometimes have with the cross step is that while i move forward on my board the board moves backwards. i just kill the forward momentum of the board somehow.... any tip maybe?

hmmm that's hard to explain in a comment... I'll be making a trick tip of the cross step in a future episode of this series so stick around for that, i'll explain it the best I can then :) in the meantime, good luck and have fun with it!!

love that you always react to comments! Respect! Today my girl and I went practicing for 3 hours. Great spring weather. Carving Peter Pan went great, tigerclaw no problem, 180 step into pivot is nice to do. Ow by the the no comply is really a pain in the ass. Can't get my foot to follow the board. Ah well... practice practice. Greetings from Holland

+Roland Roos thanks a lot haha. That's super dope to read, the Belgian weather is also finally treating us well haha. You won't believe how long it took me to learn that trick haha, just keep trying :) Cheers from Belgium dude!!

it sounds like you lean too much to the front of the board. lean a slight bit less to the front and your board will keep rolling.

Thanks you so much! I love the way you explain everything! I just started longboarding in the past couple years with a big break when I didn’t have a board and all your videos are helping me learn the basics and everything!
