I just don't understand this, have seen the advert a hundred times and never remember what it's for. I think the message is "you can do more with more", but it's a terrible example because with a stripped down kit, she drums pretty well. After the camera pans and she's playing a full kit, the quality of drumming just plummets down the toilet. There are are massive audible fudges in the last couple of bars just left in. Was there no time to record a few more takes? Or to tell the drummer "stop just smashing everything because it doesn't sound good"? This isn't a sexist comment, or even a slight on the drummer's ability as the first few bars prove she is a capable drummer. It's just a terrible example of advertising.

The focus is supposed to be on the drum kit. Make your money/business grow so yes, you can do more. But the quality of drumming does not plummet. It starts off with a very easy and generic drum pattern (something that almost anyone can do). Then it grows into a freestyle using the full kit (only pros can do what she did). And she uses 3 different patterns if you listen properly. It's quite impressive if you know what to listen for.

pjm1000 Thanks very much. I saw her play with MIA on Jools Holland years ago. Unfortunately BBC block the footage on here so I've never been able to find her.

She's a great drummer. Lovely start - then, so sad, a useless ad executive decides "more is better". What a waste of talent - and of "funding circle's" money. Overpaid executives and bureaucrats are the ugly face of capitalism. The over-reliance on so-called executives is the scary bit here. Listen to "Inna Gadda Da Vida" and Rare Earth's "Get Ready" for drumming superlatives. Or Gene Krupa and others. Anyway, what is the message here? "Drummers need bigger drum sets"? Or "funding circle helps talent"? What a bunch of ....

Why do musicians pull stupid fucking faces when playing, is it mandatory or is it constipation, piles or something else
