It’s clear that the emotional relationship between Vicky and Casey had been known by those she worked with in her office. A good administrator would have upon hearing the news that Vicky was giving Casey extra food and calls were going back and forth between the two-a good administrator would have brought Vicky in for a talk and made it clear there will be no more calls and extra food for Casey and if this continues employment will end. There at least was a chance that this Casey and Vicky relationship may have been nipped in the bud emphasizing the importance of boundaries to Vicky.

I think God would disagree. Vicki made very bad decision. She hurt many. But I do not think she killed her self, if Casey didn’t shoot her it happened as the airbag released and hit her arm causing the gun to go off. A person saying let’s get out an run and “ don’t kill us “ less than a second before the gun went off did not take her own life. An it’s wrong for the sheriff s office to say she did, very unfair for mother to be made to believe that. But even with the horrible decisions Vicki made she is more than this world will ever give her credit for. She is precious in Gods eyes. She will face judgment just as we all will one day. Right I dont think many would say the same if an older male CO had walked a much younger female inmate with the same record and convictions out. I think many would be saying he was thinking with his d*** and not his brain if genders were reversed. As a woman Im sickened that people think we are that easily manipulated. She had the urge to merge and went out with a bang or three. Glad no one else died because she needed to get the cobwebs in her pipe cleaned out.

I'm sorry for her loved ones that she did this to them. They must have very conflicting emotions right now and are left with many unanswered questions, most of which that won't be answered. Rather than face them and own up to what she did she took the easy way out. She also enabled a murderer to walk free and he could've potentially never have been caught which would inflict further pain on the loved ones of the life he took. Terrible.

I do feel for her. I have great compassion for her family.(look at the turn out, she was loved). But…. She carried a gun for a living and betrayed the public trust. She had MONTHS if not longer to come to her senses. I saw a comment that said 11 days of bad doesn’t negate 57 years of good, but, why not? Doesn’t it? She was lonely and middle aged. I understand. So am I. So what? She was an officer, she took an oath. She put the public at risk, as well as her coworkers. She lied for months if not longer. She knowingly deceived everyone at that funeral for months. She was armed and she armed a felon. People had to go into hiding because of her. What she did will absolutely define her life. It completely negates everything else.

Prayers go out to the White family. May they have peace in their hearts at this difficult time. Vicki White seemed like a hardworking correctional officer. Sometimes, when a human being is sad, lonely and empty, they cannot help who they fall in love with. Vicki had numerous years in contact with this prisoner, and during that time, he conned her very well. Yes she helped him escape, but she did not kill anyone or harm anyone. Her correctional officer career is what she should be remembered for, and all the loyal years she put there. As a woman myself, love can be blind. Heaven sakes, she had no spouse to go home too, it’s not like she was cheating or anything. She had no children, just herself. She made a poor choice in that man she chose, but honestly, no one has the right to judge her. I’m sure if someone was lonely too, they will fall for the same sweet words, especially when a person is vulnerable. Rest In Peace Vicki White❤️.
