Magical vibe. Ive been listening to hip hop from 1990 to now, and 93-95 is the golden age of hip hop - when the music was art that took you all kinds of places. No hate for the new school, but art is way harder to find now with so much money in the game.

Technically the Golden Age or Classic Era of HH starts in around 84 or so w/ the advent of Def Jam Records and RUN/DMC. It lasted from the mid-late 80s to the mid-late 90s. But 93- 95 are pivotal years for that era I agree. 93 til infinity

No. Shit WAS better back in the day. And I mean talent wise, being musically diverse. Hip Hop was born of various elements of existing genres. That was the beauty of it. It could be funk, r&b, heavy metal, jazz and on and on. It restricted its limits and vision, that's why it's boring and tired now. Guns, drugs, hoes, money and bragging ALWAYS had a part in rap. But now, the subject is restricted by its lack of variety and expression of music. Thank You! (applause)
