You pretty much nailed how I felt about it. Fine film for what it is, but I was expecting something a little stronger and neater-looking. This felt almost like a rushed project.

Fury Road was almost too over the top to ever be topped. Still want to see this tho, sux it’s not in 3D.

The question is why? Why was this movie made? Did we need to see her story when we know the ending? Was there a necessity to see Furiosa's story? Like we all went: "Man, you know what would be cool?" cause I sure as shit didn't. Is it the same necessity that we might have for seeing how old Max is doing? My answer is a big fat no.

For me I'm a life long Mad Max fan and I lover Furiosa BUT we need to be honest. It would have been better if Mad Max was in it! At this point Mad Max is a brand and to not have Mad Max around is a hard sell.

Right? They should have stuck with making the prequel as an anime & continuing with Max live-action.

I'm having a hard time getting into movies with strong female leads. Women doing things that are masculine, aggressive, and gritty...it's just not my cup of tea. I like fiction with a hint of believability but with that said, I respect the fictionalization of an unstoppable woman. I'm old school I guess. I miss the days of the feminine female. The days when the man's motivation in his adventures and obstacles were for the love he had for his damsel in distress. He needed that as much as she needed his abilities to fight, to coordinate, to be disaffected by the stresses of said obstacles. I guess this too is fiction after all. Different folks, different strokes.

Road Warrior Beyond Thunderdome Fury Road Mad Max 1 Furiosa My ranking. This latest installment was bloated, very mid cgi (at times), and frankly didn’t stick the landing with that long, over wrought scene at the end with Dementis where we get an earful about all the things we just witnessed. (We witnessed her trauma!! No need for her to tell us all about it!) The whole tone for me was a very dissociated narrative. Which I think could work. But combined with the bad cgi made me feel like I was watching another opera with the binoculars turned around backwards. Total k hole of a movie at times.

Fury was not a good movie aside from the action and references to thunder dome I just didn’t like it enough especially because they put Tom Hardy “Mad Max” in the back seat of his movie. When I go see a mad max movie I want to see mad max. Thunder dome will always be number 1 for me

I fell asleep in this movie. Don't see it on comfy seats...your review was great. Movie sucked, I'm done watching women try to be men, it's a joke.
