Hi Kloofsuits, I just wanted to say that your fursuit timelapse videos were the first thing I saw from the fandom and they are the reason I started working on my second fursuit today and I will once again use your videos as a reference! Thank you so so much!

Question: how many yards of foam should I use to make a fursuit head base? I already have the fleece to make the mouth lining and the tongue.
@tevjun8856
6 жыл бұрын
I’d personally say 1 yard of 1/2 foam is simply good to have, and maybe 1 yard of 2” foam for the features, but you might need a little more than that so just to be careful probably have 2 yards of that on hand. You might be able to do features with 1” foam but I think 2” is easier for the muzzle and cheeks etc

hi kloofsuits! i know this video is a few months old now, but im interested in this method and i was just wondering how i could adapt it to make room for my glasses? thank you!
@freckledcatcreations
3 жыл бұрын
hey, I just so happened to see this! if you still need an answer, what I do is see how much your glasses add to your head circumference, and then add that to the length of the bucket base rectangle. then glue a strip of 1" foam by your forehead inside there so that when wearing it , it pushes the front of the bucket away from your face so you have room for glasses.

This was really helpful! I just wanted to know if you HAVE to use a balaclava? Or could you use the same measurements and just glue it together w/o it?
@Kloofsuits
6 жыл бұрын
You certainly could, but the balaclava is better for comfort, durability and ease of cleaning. Its also a lot more professional to have a fully lined head!

Hey! This was a great video! I don’t have a mannequin head, what should I do? This is my first fur suit and I am still young enough that I need my parents to take me to the store and such. Do I need a mannequin head? If I do, how would one phrase the question to the parents without sounding strange. They know I’m making a fur suit, but still think it’s a bit strange, I’m worried they will give me a weird look that my socially awkward self won’t be able to handle.
