I think it goes without saying but the point of this video is not really to create a functional hook. To do that, a few simple extrudes would have sufficed. This is more of a surfacing exercise to achieve a challenging transition. Perhaps in a future non-trivial design, a similar aesthetic might be required where this workflow could be applied. Hope this is helpful!

I only wish I knew 1 tenth about F360 as Fusion 360 School does. Thanks again.

Very neat. I need to use surfaces more, I tend to do nearly all of my modelling in the solid panel, which would be impossible for this design.

Very neat. At the end it is necessary to combine the 2 bodies

Thank you for posting this! I struggled with this for quite a while. In fact, I practically gave up and ignored it for a while. It was only last week that I decided to give it another go. I am always hesitant to upload full models due to a number of reasons. Did you face any trouble following the video?

. @Fusion360School I asked for the complete model because though I'm proficient in 360. I never wonder outside SOLID. I'm a bit offput by SURFACE and MESH tabs. I didn't have enough time at first watch to follow along in 360. I will rematch when I have more time to follow along with as fine toothed comb. But very much appreciate your effort.

Good day, may I know how he is rotating the view without moving his mouse? Is that some kind of accessory?

I have the same question. His movements are always so smooth, but it's not apparent on-screen how he's making those movements while the pointer cursor remains stationary.
