@jiggusfiggus

@realkekz no it's random. The writers were struggling to find his character and early on the show he had no standout characteristics or interesting jokes. Phil Lamarr even has said he was afraid he was gonna get fired, since two cast members already got the boot as well. They just tossed 'make him jamaican' and phil worked on it. It's easy to assume these things are deliberate, but it has more to do with the show having many seasons and episodes to develop a one-note character into something more robust.

Judging from the fact that his teeth are the same size a thousand years ago (in 1999) as they are in the 31st century, I always assumed Nibblonians just had 5 ringed teeth. You know, maybe there's just 5 rings _at a time,_ and the outer layer breaks off as the youngest layer grows in the center, or something like that. But I don't think Fry is ever portrayed as ever having some sort of hidden intelligence... stupid luck maybe, but I always felt the missing delta brain wave thing was more like an underflow glitch he got from the grandfather paradox. It doesn't make him any smarter, it just allows him to circumvent reality in certain ways.

This scene best describes Futurama to me, the cast are all fools and outcasts. Its what made them a great ensemble.

"ATOMIC SUPERMEN! With octagonal bodies, that'll just suck the blood right out of yer...(unintelliable mummering)" Now, the question is, is that something the Professor actually wanted to build, or did his mind just keep wondering further and further during his answer?

@@BNOBLE981 this, Futurama has great continuity because one of the atomic supermen has a cannon on his chest, which in a previous episode he wanted to put on Fry
