Seems we are alway trying to run away from something some One said, do what makes you happy 😊 Once upon a time that's all our Ancestors had, they were OK 👌. @@loveyoursign2923 Respectfully speaking, Black men choose not to like us because of self hatred. They do not love themselves. Therefore, why would they get with a Black woman to have a black baby if they don’t love their black skin? It is not because of bonnets, it’s because they don’t love themselves. Non black women wear bonnets as well, and black men still go to them. So, it’s definitely not because of bonnets that black men choose not to love BW. Plus, even though going outside with a bonnet on isn’t the best way to present yourself, bonnets shouldn’t be a reason that someone chooses not to love you.

Me personally, I wouldn’t wear a bonnet outside. I just put my hair in a simple afro puff and go somewhere lol. And for clothes, now I don’t need to look like a supermodel, however, I will just put on a simple t-shirt and some jeans. Now if someone else wants to walk outside with pajamas and a bonnet then that’s there business. BUT I do notice one thing with the whole discussion. It’s funny how ppl are clowning Monique and are saying “Oh let women be” and “Stop clowning on Black women” but... if I remember correctly, a few months ago when Derrick Jaxn was exposed for cheating on his wife and him and his wife BOTH came on the camera, many of these same ppl (black MEN and WOMEN) were clowning her saying “Wow she’s really going on camera looking like that” or “He’s really going to let her come on camera with that bonnet on her head”🤔. The same ppl getting on Monique for saying what she said were the same ones clowning Derrick Jaxn wife for coming on the camera with her attire. Make it make sense???

I feel like bonnets have become more common since many women aren’t perming their hair anymore. I’m a 4C natural & this hair can be a task- you can’t just throw it up into a ponytail & too much manipulation causes breakage. So I can understand how ladies just wear it to run a quick errand. However I prefer not to leave my house with a bonnet on, I’d feel tacky. Plus there are many ways to get around wearing bonnets we have headband wigs/ cute head wrap scarfs (my go to), etc. but to each it’s own..
