*Detailed Summary of the FY25 Budget Discussion Video* Introduction to FY25 Budget Discussion (00:05) - The video begins with an introduction of the discussion participants: Parimal Ade, Gaurav Jain, and CA Yogesh Katariya. The agenda includes an overview of key topics to be covered in the FY25 budget. Economic Growth Projections (02:18) - A detailed analysis of GDP growth projections is presented, highlighting the sectors driving growth and the impact of government policies on economic expansion. Budget Highlights and Fiscal Policies (00:24 - 06:00) - Key budget highlights include changes in capital gains tax and future and options taxation. The government has increased both short-term and long-term capital gains tax, significantly impacting retail investors. The fiscal deficit target is set at 4.9%, reflecting the government's commitment to maintaining fiscal discipline. Tax Reforms and Implications (06:00 - 23:51) - The budget introduces several tax reforms, including changes in tax slabs, the abolition of the taxation of dividends at slab rates, and revised holding periods under Section 42A. The impact on individual taxpayers and businesses is analyzed, with a discussion on the confusion caused by these changes. The new tax regime offers direct benefits, including a Rs 10,000 benefit and a standard deduction of Rs 25,000. Infrastructure and Development Plans (10:00) - Key infrastructure projects are highlighted, emphasizing their expected impact on job creation and economic development. The government's strategy for funding these projects is also discussed. Environmental Initiatives (19:00) - The budget introduces green policies and initiatives, allocating funds for renewable energy projects and sustainability measures. Healthcare and Education Funding (23:30) - The budget allocates significant funds to healthcare and education sectors, with plans to improve public health and education infrastructure. The expected impact on social welfare and development is discussed. Support for Small Businesses (28:00) - Government initiatives to support SMEs include financial aids and incentives for small businesses. The long-term benefits for the economy are analyzed. International Trade and Relations (32:30) - The budget's impact on international trade is analyzed, with policies aimed at boosting exports and attracting foreign investments. The geopolitical implications are also discussed. Education Reforms and Skill Development (37:00) - The focus is on educational reforms and skill development programs, highlighting government initiatives to improve the quality of education and their impact on the future workforce and employment. Technological Advancements and Innovation (41:30) - The budget allocates funds for technology and innovation, with plans to boost the tech industry and startups. The expected impact on national competitiveness and growth is examined. Social Welfare and Public Services (46:00) - An overview of social welfare programs funded by the budget is provided, discussing improvements in public services and the long-term benefits for society. Concluding Remarks and Future Outlook (50:00 - 52:14) - The video concludes with a summary of key points discussed, final thoughts from participants on the budget, and an outlook on future expectations from government policies. The implications of capital gains tax, set to be levied from July 23rd onwards, are also mentioned, with potential retrospective effects on investors. Additional Highlights (09:19 - 39:47) - Fiscal Deficit and Capital Gains Tax Impact: The containment of the fiscal deficit at 4.9% and the implications of increased capital gains tax on equity investments. - Encouraging Positive Outlook: The importance of focusing on the positive aspects of the budget and moving forward optimistically in politics and equity investing. - Taxation Changes for Investment Funds and Listed Securities: Reduced taxation periods and benefits for investment funds, REITs, InvITs, and listed securities. - Impact on Real Estate and Tax Implications: Higher capital gains leading to increased investment in real estate and associated tax obligations. - Effect on Small Caps and SIP Inflows: The impact of increased LTCG on small caps and SIP inflows, with small caps potentially remaining attractive for higher returns in the long term. - Uncertainty on Tax Implications for Old Debt Funds: Ongoing discussions around the taxation of old debt funds and the lack of clarity on retrospective tax or indexation benefits. - Significant Buybacks and Effects on NRIs and Real Estate: Large-scale buybacks leading to increased disposable income and the potential impacts on NRIs and real estate due to changes in capital gains tax and surcharges. - Reducing Black Money: Efforts to reduce black money through tax recovery and proper utilization of cash, encouraging white money transactions through concessional rates in real estate and equity markets.

What do you get in return from the Government - do you get good schools, any medial facilities- remember they kept you on your own during covid crisis, do you get good roads, public transportation, any sense of safety security- we can't even talk to police without fear, we can't approach courts - we are scared. What do we get form this system. While they keep you busy with religion, caste, language conflicts. You can't even buy a home of your own- you get no legal protection on real estate while they run all the corruption behind the scene. It is on us now to rise above all this stupidity and show them that we are a vote bank too. There are 4.5 Cr mutual fund investors. It affects you and your family. Vote with you and your family- vote them out in every state. Show them we are a vote bank- show them their worth- they are our servants not rulers. Or else after some 10 years when you realize your goals- you will pay them 25-30 percent of your goal amount.

Rich wants to migrate from India because they are paying tax against no benefits... No one is talking about the country as a whole... Talking about Budget 24-25, I am CA Finalist so I want to point out about Tax effects to the middle class... Budget affects only those who are making speculative income.. and benefits to salaries... @@prashildarji03 you have mentioned few of the issues facing India. As you are CA finalist... you must be knowing agriculture is not taxable in India... so an officeboy pays tax but there are farmers who drive Audi dont pay taxes... it is very easy to assume Congress is not good in many items mentioned by you, but in that case IAS officials will get free hand to do whatever is right. I am not supporter of any political parties but its easy to discard without checking where there might be talented people with them. Everything being said budget is really bad. Its not speculators but investors are suffering. Just to add this program is not new program it was there in 2018 budget as well but it didnot yield any result... hence it is repacked to take out unused money of csr... what you think about timing of tax reduction on gold when gold bpnds are maturing... where purpose of gold bond is not to block money in gold... now govt has reduced taxes on gold which will lead to reduction of cos of gold... leading to lower outflow to investors of sgb... you can assume they will also artificially reduce prices of gold at the valuation date of sgb... this is cunning behavior... learn to find out motives behind any action... it will be beneficial for you in your future endeavors
