This bridge is much more than a single lane concrete bridge over the Mbashe River between Willowvale and Elliotdale in the Eastern Cape. It's history dates back to 1937 and was named after the very popular local magistrate Robert Fyfe-King. The bridge later washed away in a huge flood and the new bridge featured in this video was built a few hundred metres downstream circa 1960. When Fyfe-King passed away his funeral was attended by a large number of Xhosa, such was his popularity amongst the locals.
