Thank you for this. I have these same parts and haven't installed them but now I have a better feel of what i'm getting into.

Great video. I’d like to see how you lowered the front, too.

If you haven't already tried it, it's super easy. Just loosen the two bolts on each side of the clamps that hold the fork tubes. Lowering the front end of the bike raises the tubes, re-tighten and you're done.

Also. Do you need a motorcycle stand for one of the wheels.

Do you have to use a motorcycle jack? I’m using a regular jack I can get the bolt into the shock but I can’t get the link to set into the spot of the frame no matter how much I’ve tried. I even reverse the procedure to have the one go into the frame first but the holes won’t line up to put the bolt in.

Yeah it’s been awhile since I did this video but I was pretty thorough in my step by step explanation. I used a cheap cruiser motorcycle Jack and front and rear motorcycle stands. The front just to keep the motorcycle stable then removed the rear stand with the cruiser Jack on the muffler. It wasn’t easy but be patient and keep adjusting the Jack till it lines up

@@paulkmaster3231 yeah no matter what I did I couldn’t get the whole to do anything at the frame so I had a Walmart lowering kit I just beat the bolt into it and got it all to work lol

@@blindcarnage1482 well I’m glad you were able to get it to work out. That is the most difficult part of this job is lining up that bolt and getting it through. It’s a real pain. Thanks for watching and commenting

Where can I get that kickstand? I've tried one from PSR which did not work and another brand from across the ocean. That one didn't work either. I really need to get one as the stock kickstand is too tall. Thanks!!

I'm a little confused about all the raising and lowering. Were you raising the motorcycle (frame) or just the shock? Not clear on that. Getting ready to do this to my bike this weekend. Thanks.

The final outcome is a lower seat height…however lining up the pivot bolt required some up and down jacking of the motorcycle to get it all lined up and bolted tight..if you have the same bike in this video this will show you step by step how to do it. I tried to make it like I would wanna see how it’s done…let me know how it turns out for you..thanks

@@paulkmaster3231 Using an electric hoist I was able to raise and lower the back end of the bike. For some reason, I couldn't get the shock to raise up high enough to get the bolt through the top hole of the lowering link. It took a lot of effort and frustration. I finally got it done but it was a pain in the a**. Getting the front end lowered was a breeze (using the same hoist of course).

@@vansonmafeet734 yes I agree it’s tricky to line up the pivot bolt and confusing.. But observing which direction up or down gets the holes to line up you just just gotta go by trial and error..to this day I can’t remember which way was right until I look at the video…great comment thank you for watching

Will this process be the same one needed to install the woodcraft clip on handle bars? I keep reading that you need to lower the front 1.5 inches for clearance for those bars so now I'm looking into lowering videos lmao

@@paulkmaster3231 Any recommendations where I can get something similar? I heard using a golf tee or a 8mm bolt would work too. Not sure how true those are.

Use this for the base www.ebay.com/itm/151336866492 Then add this or whatever size you prefer don’t use the “U” lower clamp(because you don’t need it just attach directly to the ball on the stem mount Here’s the whole set upsprocketz.store/products/ram-x-grip-large-phone-mount-with-motorcycle-fork-stem-base

@@sebbyvee8153 sorry got your comment mixed up with another question…don’t think a golf tee or an 8mm bolt will make a good enough seal…you could use a small piece of fuel hose that’s the same size and stop up the end with a bolt or anything that seals it shut.
