@@leehyunsong7001 There are hardworking Chinese everywhere in the world. Why aren’t there little Singapores wherever they are? The fact is that without good political leadership, you won’t get far as a country. You only need to look nearby in Singapore’s neighbourhood. Without Lee Kuan Yew and his team of exceptional pioneer leaders, Singapore would likely still be a third world backwater today. There are many hardworking Chinese in the Riau Islands too. Why didn’t they become like Singapore? We don’t lightly idolise anyone, but should give credit where credit is due. 饮水要思源。做人要懂得感恩。也希望你能明白。

I remember those time as I was born in 1966. 10 cents bus fare, 59 cents allowance, brushing teeth after recess and the triangular shaped packed milk. I was poor, but not as bad as you. We did raise up and have a rather comfortable life. Thanks to the leadership of our government as well as the hard work we pit in through out the years. Together we are a team to make our country and our families better, regardless of races.
Thank you for your kind and perceptive evaluation of Singapore. I am third generation Chinese Singaporean. Your video helped me to understand the difference between the Chinese who went to the West, Japan and SE Asia including Singapore. Proud of Singapore and grateful to be Singaporean.
Very well written and researched. A truthful video. Good job. A good review of Singapore for beginners. 3rd generation singaporean. 😊

Thank you for a fair and accurate analysis/summary of Singapore history. One of the best video about SG from foreigner's perspective in my opinion. We are indeed lucky to have a visionary leader LKY and his capable team that sets a good foundation for our country. However we must not forget that our success today is also contributed by our humble and hard-working Singaporeans from different ethnic backgrounds working together to build this nation. I will share this excellent video with my friends and families. My hope for the new generations of Singaporeans and immigrants that we can all continue to be as humble like our forefathers and contribute positively to the progress of Singapore's future.

No one wants to destroy Singapore. However only Western countries try to frame Singapore as authoritarian and dictatorship. Other than that one one question Singapore’s success.
China today not only has leant from Singapore after Den Xiao Ping,s visit in 1978, but also China has already succeeded both economically and politically by bringing 800 million its citizen out of poverty. Further more China has achieved GDP from 109th in 1982 to 2nd position in 2020. Today Chinese economy success covers, manufacturing, finance, science and technology, space, medical, most importantly EV development. Not mentioned about infrastructure building domestic and overseas, there are far more Chinese citizens (155 million per annum prior Covid) visited overseas than Singaporean.
Too bad, under the current leadership, China economy has slowly turned side way

It’s not right for the manager of the showroom to chase you out but can I ask ,as a tourist why are you in a car showroom? If you are the staff or owner of a store and you know that tourists will not buy your products, suddenly tourist comes in to the store, will you attend to him as you know he will not buy your products ?
