Very glad to see people keeping this old technology alive.

Nice video work I must say. I enjoyed being drawn into the very bowel of the beast.

An interesting observation about how Americans and European enthusiasts care for steam tractors: European owners will agonize over making them look beautiful in every way whereas the Americans agonize over ensuring they never look anything other than scrapyard dogs.

I give a lot of credit to the owner of this machine, a young man still in his 20's with a strong passion for steam engines. (the one fueling the boiler in this video) He saved up and searched for years, then last year he found this tractor that had been inoperable for decades, and had it hauled hundreds of miles home. Over the winter, he tore apart the boiler and replaced tubes, fixed a bunch of other stuff and made it safe to operate, got it inspected and certified, and now it is up and running. He did a lot of work in a short time. Now he can enjoy operating it and sharing the experience with people like me. A full restoration would have taken many years and even more dollars.
