Those redfish look an awful lot like the fish I know as Toros. But I don’t think they are not the same fish. The Toro is a member of the snapper family. Their eyes are large, but those are not the same eyes as a choral that I know unless there’s a variety of other fish that are similar they aren’t excellent fish and they do make really good sashimi. Although I’ve never had it in that form yet. When I catch one, I’ll find out.. Just looked up Alfonsinos fish, and it’s very interesting. They are rare and they are all great concern because they take so long for them to mature and reproduce. Their long lived. This also means that they would also carry more toxins than other fish because of their long lifespan. Eating occasionally there’s no problem. In your case, it does not bother me seeing you purchase and filleting these fishes that are on the list of endangered or Upgrade concern. No, you love fish and you don’t waste anything. Plus my curiosity is satisfied by listening to you and your remarks as to how it tastes. On the other hand, you make me very hungry. I love fish, both cooked, on its own, or in a dish, and I love sashimi as well. Therefore I’m not gonna yell at you or condemn you which also includes the or fish. They are rare as well, but I’m not sure how rare. I’m a fan and I always will be of your show even though I have to keep stopping and going back and reading what you said. I’ve made up my mind. I’m going to have to learn Mandarin. It will be next to impossible because my tongue at my age has difficulty grasping pronunciations, as well as the fact I’m going deaf. I wish I had a talent for languages.
