Realistic approach can be fine, it's just Gaijn screwing up because they can't figure out how to make it enjoyable with map design. Large maps could work if only they had something more to do than to cap a zone with a PT boat and then shoot big ship with your big ship on open water without any kind of tactic.

@@AventarYT the large map design work pretty well in the gamemode enduring confrontation (if you pass the fact that you need to wait 10min to enter it) but the fact that Gaijin fuck the maps designs in realistic battle like the BB with the ligth cruiser at aproximatively 10km from one spawn to an other an only 1 spawn availble on certains maps for big ship (CL, CA ect) plus the lack of balance with some ship (aka the french BB at 6.7) is killing the fun and pissing of the playerbase We can all agree (i think) that Gaijin is a competente studio, They can do so many things like the asymetric battle that you tell (AKA Normandie or other debarquement) or making scenaristique PVE battle like the hunt of the Bismark ect

I have nothing to say about EC maps (besides La Manche but that's a different story). Gaijin is a competent studio that can do good asymmetric events like subs vs destroyers in the past so they know how to do it, the question is why won't they add it for longer than a singular event that we don't even know if it will happen again.

There should be objectives that are realistic. In a real world instance you just don't throw ships into a place knowing there are just as many enemies coming from the other direction. There should be convoy objectives. Get from point A to point B. Protect convoy. Stop enemy ships. Other team can have similar or more attack convoy, stop it from passing basepoint X.

@@AventarYT You should always try to verify the end product if anything is amiss. I had a similar situation with another smaller creater, but instead to adress it he simply mocked me. I legit was about to turn off the video. Earrape was never funny and never will be.

@@AventarYT Then your program isn't that good. There's no such thing as the quietest setting being close to mute. 99% of all video editing software uses db. DB has an almost infinite value to make the sound louder or quieter. That's what all DAWS uses, that's what Davinci Resolve uses, that's what Audacity uses, that's what Premiere uses, etc.

It does use db, it just sometimes mute the clip altogether after a certain threshold. This particular clip was set on the maximum allowed decrease of db. Next time I'll check it on few devices before publishing, instead of just relying on my pc settings

@@AventarYT That's not true. I am a mixing engineer. Db only fully mutes a track if it is set to infinity. Programs use mathematical equations to calculate the volume after changing the db, that's why only true infinity would mute a track. You can bring down a track to -100 db, render it in WAV, and bring it back up to normal levels. I'm not trying to be confrontational, I am stating facts.

Yea, I used to play World of warships since the day it came out and then started playing WT ships instead. These maps and the odd decisions around Naval tech tree has made it that I haven’t played in a looong time and don’t intend to.

yeah, a simple all 5.0 destroyer going against heavy/light/destroyers is not fun, but I do have a lot of fun in 2.0 naval battles

There's not enough appreciation for low tier coastal like 2.0. Even as a bluewater enjoyer myself, I like to hop in some 1.7 sub-chaser and have fun shooting small boats

Subs would be really unbalanced besides low brs and for said brs, the maps wouldn't let them shine, so for now EC would be the only good mode to implement subs.

bruh its always one or 2 maps. one or 2 dudes per teams brings a PT boat rushes A/B cap and essently win the game for the team who brought more PT boats. then you got the games where its legit 4 ACTUAL players per team

That is a plague for normal maps, that are still not optimized for ships bigger than frigates. Naval has it's problems, but a lot of them just comes from the initial release stigma, that has yet to disappear, such as low count of players but that can just change over time, if Gaijin will show that they do put some work into the mode and are trying to revitalize it.

Carriers, just like subs could be tested in Naval EC. For now, even though we have all the mechanics needed to implement them, they still are quite finicky to add. I was thinking about just utilizing already existing random plane spawn for SP, but instead of only one plane, you start with 3-4 planes in a squadron that is controlled by AI and follows your plane.

They don't, War Thunder makes maps based around real locations (besides few arcade mode maps), whereas Wows just design their maps around gameplay mechanics and features.

@@TheDutie the map you're thinking of is called "Ocean" and is exactly like the one in the video just open water, WG removed it from the multiplayer rotation years ago, originally they removed it from the game entirely but due to backlash in the forums from players who use the game as a way to create cinematic videos "Ocean" was added to the list of availeable maps on the Training Room

Lazy....?, Sir you are Delusional this is just Naval. Nobody cares about the maps because most the players are Bots. Naval is a waste of Dev time unless they do a FULL Rework. This goes for Helicopters to, Waste of time unless a rework.

There's quite a nice community around Naval that do care and we try to be vocal about it. The only time you see more than 1-2 bots per side is at the very top tier or during some unusual hours where most of the world isn't available. Rest of matches are full of players so I'm not so sure that most of them are bots. Full rework is not needed, as the core mechanics are good. Naval needs tweaking in terms of maps or more modes that require every class of ship to cooperate, so EC but in smaller format so to speak for example, but unlike helis, that don't even have dedicated game mode besides PvE and exist solely to be a menace in ground modes, there's no need for full rework.
